Gallegos pitches a perfect 6th. This guy has been money for us…..and that’s exactly what he’s going to get a lot of next year if he keeps this up.

It’s official. Kaufman and Comerica are the other 2 yards that would have held Edman’s shot in the yard. Thanks to the esteemed MrPerkins for that info. We are still awaiting on which ML park was the most spacious of all time? Euro…MrPerkins….Booyah….anybody?

Thanks, Pugs. Sorry to see a couple of the guys must’ve crossed to the other side.

I know I’m late to the party tonight, but I’ll go along with the newly established ritual. I had a strange combination to include cashews, watermelon, banana, mozzarella cheese, dark chocolate, Icelandic skyr, and water. Hard to believe that was dinner, but my daughter was supposed to visit the wife and me tonight but had to delay until tomorrow. So that killed dinner plans. Hopefully I’ll do better tomorrow. I plan to enjoy a cup of decaf starting with the 7th inning stretch.

Fowler triples in O’Neill making it 7-3! That was about 400 ft. worth of triple…..Kaufman may not have held that shot in the park.

All wonderful delicacies, Euro. They weren’t all blended together were they.

A Wong scalding line shot off Panik’s glove plates Dexter making it 8-3 Cards! Birds occupying 1st & 2nd and still no outs. We could be venturing into “calling off the dogs” territory very very soon here.

Bader promptly bounces into a twin killing, thus keeping the dogs on the prowl until further notice….sic em Tommy…..sic em boy!

That’s the only ballpark that holds dex’s triple. I love dex. I know most don’t but he’s been clutch this year and is a prime-time player (with the exception of last year). Ive been so disappointed with this team so far and don’t want to get too pumped with a three day hot streak. But as I’ve said several times. This team has talent and this division is proving to be a lot of flawed teams. Every cardinals team that has won a World Series in my life time hasn’t been the best cards team, rather they’ve been some of the most flawed teams. Stay afloat make a trade or two and get hot. Let’s do this

We have a pen. We have good players everywhere else. MLB season is 162 games

Tommy rung up on a very questionable call. But the 7th bore fruit for St. Louis as they tack on a couple more runs making it 8-3. It’s always a nice feeling knowing that even a granny by the opposition won’t keep you from surrendering the lead…..but let’s not make this interesting. Gallegos still dealing for the Cards, so that should keep this SF crowd as quiet as a mouse.

I have to get up at 5am(cst) tomorrow, so I just may hit the hay knowing this lead is safe. Bring us home the “W” GAC!

Was just reading about sizes of baseball parks. The Polo Grounds, which opened in 1911 and closed in 63, is an interesting one. Very short down the foul lines (250 to 270) and very deep in center, anywhere from 450 feet to nearly 500 feet depending on which year. They kept a flower garden in CF some years and bullpen guys would warm up in CF during live play. Of course this is info off the random internet, so don’t bet your life savings on it.

Trivia question: The site I read said only four players ever hit the ball over the fence in dead center at the Polo Grounds. They were Luke Easter (Negro League player) in 1948, Joe Adcock in 53, and Hammerin’ Hank in 62. The fourth guy is a beloved Cardinal. I would’ve never guessed it.

Anyone else wonder how many runs the Whiteyball teams would have scored in this park? (Of course, Giants pitching helps, too.)

Trivia question. Who has the highest ops on the team out of all regulars on the cards?

Is that dexter Fowler I hear!

Giants pitching ranks 10th in the NL in ERA. Seattle is 14th in the AL. Cards are fourth in the NL, just 0.01 behind the Cubs.

We should feel better than we did after getting crushed by zac gallen. I apologize for positivity (I know it’s too much positivity), but we are winning games lol

I thought I read the “Baker Bowl” was a huge park when I was younger.

    Edit: nope, dead wrong

I know I’ll be back negative soon but let me have this one Brian haha

At least I’m one of the few making positive posts when we win and negative posts when things are going wrong. Just some of the attitude I’ve seen from the players on top of it makes me think there is some camaraderie on the team too

Great for bullpen to get 2 innings each from Gallegos and Leone
