Have to give the FO credit when adding Edman. He is a rare spark to this offense.

Edman has a very Eckstein-like feel to him…takes good at bats, plays solid, fundamental baseball and just produces. I hope they continue to find spots for him to play.

That comeback came out of nowhere last night and I loved it. I’m wondering, though, how a 14-year old kid is on the 25-man roster.

Kimbrel blew the save and took the loss for the Cubs last night vs. the Pirates. His very early ERA is 16.88. The Brewers have a one-game lead in the division with the Cards 2.5 games back.

Congratulations Cards, have to call that one a rally. Bader got some hits too last night along with his always great defense. Lookin good!

There was a zero percent possibility he was ready for MLB level games after just 3 innings in the minors. Part of me hopes this is the Greg Holland 2.0 for the Cubs. If it does turn out to be a bust this season I don’t see the Cubs waiting as long as the Cardinals in addressing the situation. The only problem with that, though, is he’s signed for 2 more years.

Cards finally get some hits with runners on base in that 9th. Nice comeback rally.

You always want to look at moments like this and hope it was the turning point of the season. But we have had a few of those, and then have fallen back to mediocrity. Hopefully this will change.

What is crazy is that Washington club, who looked to be going nowhere when we won 3 of 4 there in late April, has a better record than us.
