as i get older i start wanting to just have a team of Melky Cabrera’s and Nick Markakis’ bats, just guys that put the bat on the ball…they dont have to have power but at least they can get free runs when they are presented to them
April 1, 2019 at 3:03 pm #85425Listening to Edmonds making excuses for Bader’s error is hilarious.
April 1, 2019 at 3:05 pm #85426with weak dive yesterday in CF to end the game (as valiant as it was) and that drop…Bader’s hoeps for a GG in CF are gonna be tough 😛
April 1, 2019 at 3:12 pm #85427I thought Arnold’s specialty was helping players make contact. I guess I was wrong.
April 1, 2019 at 3:13 pm #85428I wanna be wrong but so far my first impressions of Miller is we basically just signed a left handed Greg Holland.
April 1, 2019 at 3:16 pm #85430The way Miller is missing is alarming. He’s not even close. But they will use him like he’s 15-17 Andrew Miller until he blows 5-7 games
April 1, 2019 at 3:27 pm #85434I’m surprised Pittsburgh is not gonna use Vazquez for the 2 inning save with day off tomorrow.
April 1, 2019 at 3:31 pm #85435Despite the game almost getting away from them multiple times, the Cards tied the game on O’Neill’s RBI double in the bottom of the eighth.
April 1, 2019 at 3:34 pm #85436Wild pitch sends Munoz to 2B with 2 outs and O’Neal with a precision placement down the left field foul line to even the score 4-4
April 1, 2019 at 3:35 pm #85437Pittsburgh now bringing Vazquez in with go-ahead run at 2B with 2 out. I really thought they would go to him sooner.
April 1, 2019 at 3:36 pm #85438
stlcard25ParticipantVazquez is quite the weapon. He’s not quite Hader, but Marp had almost no chance there.
April 1, 2019 at 3:40 pm #85440
stlcard25ParticipantMayers coughs up the gopher ball and the Pirates retake the lead.
April 1, 2019 at 3:42 pm #85441Looks like Vazquez can get the W as Mayers throws a gopher.
April 1, 2019 at 3:47 pm #85443I should mention at this point the Cardinals have struck out 15 times again. That’s now back-to-back games of 15 strike outs. They are striking out at an astronomical pace.
April 1, 2019 at 3:51 pm #85444I can feel the breeze through my television screen!
April 1, 2019 at 3:57 pm #85447
stlcard25ParticipantBoy, the Pirates are really trying to give this one to the Cards. A comedy of errors thus far. Will the Cards take the gift?
April 1, 2019 at 4:00 pm #85448
stlcard25ParticipantJmart clubs one in the gap and it’s tied again!
April 1, 2019 at 4:03 pm #85449Martinez will be starting at least 50% of the time again soon. Cards need that bat in the lineup
April 1, 2019 at 4:25 pm #85450To the bottom of the 9th still tied 5-5
April 1, 2019 at 4:37 pm #85451So they’re still playing, huh. I was hoping victory would already be in hand, but at least I get to watch the end now since I’m home from work.
April 1, 2019 at 4:39 pm #85452
stlcard25ParticipantWell, bad call by the 3B ump and the home plate guy just screwed the Cards over on top of it. The Cardinals now have no third baseman.
April 1, 2019 at 4:39 pm #85453Carp melts down after striking out and gets tossed. Bad Carp is the guy who plays in April I guess.
April 1, 2019 at 4:45 pm #85455Bases loaded, two outs for Munoz.
April 1, 2019 at 4:50 pm #85456
stlcard25ParticipantWhat a weird game. The Cards score the go ahead run on a passed ball. I’d feel better with a couple more in.
April 1, 2019 at 4:51 pm #85457Cards take lead on a passed ball that pops the HP ump’s family jewels. I think Carp must be smiling.
