Ha ha….great catch Wooster! Now that’s not luck to nab a ball in that kind of a situation….thats 100% skill in the clutch. If that’s me, both the beer and the ball are hitting the turf and I’m going home ball-less…..oops, DeJong just booted one in the Brewer 8th.

Too bad it took them this long to realize Yelich is the guy to avoid. If Matheny had done that with Big Papi, the Cards might have won the 2013 World Series.

It’s a risk and I don’t know what to do but they did it and it paid off.
Fortunately for Miller, Moose was aggressive. My fear was that Miller would miss the plate and walk him unintentionally. Either way, I would have walked Yelich and taken my chances.
In five previous plate appearances against Miller, Yelich was 2-4 with a HR.
In 15 previous plate appearances against Miller, Moustakas was 3-14 with a double as the only extra base hit.
We have out hit them, out scored them, out errored them, out pitched them, bug now we move along to the inning of reckoning. Let’s not blow this! Carlos isn’t pitching again tonight is he?

Nice game Cardinals. 3 runs on 5 hits. Those first 2 runs were text book small ball. What can be done with just a leadoff single. Good sac bunt bunt by Hudson. Short swing by Dexter to put it in play. Hustle by Wong beat out double play. Manufacturing those runs! Great pitching Miller closes it. Go Cardinals!
