Ha!! Right you are, GAC.
Will Harris on for Houston.
Wong – Taps it right back to Harris who will run right over to the baseline to cut off Koltens path to 1st and then he’ll slap the leather softly on Kolten for the out.
Wieters – Gets his teeth into one deep to right!….and this baby will eclipse the wall for a homer! Tie ballgame. Matt appears to love solo homers….we will take them. This was the first homer that Harris has allowed to a lefty all season. Jack Flash is off the hook.
Ravelo – Called out looking.
Munoz – Due for a hit. Fouls out to Gurriel on a nice running catch up the right field line.
Cards 2
Astros 2July 26, 2019 at 9:46 pm #99402Gant has filled the bases to it’s full and unequivocal capacity…..and with 2 outs he’ll exit this affair and give way to Miller here in the Houston 8th.
July 26, 2019 at 9:49 pm #99403Well we found out that our bullpen arms are a little shakier under big time pressure
July 26, 2019 at 9:49 pm #99404And Miller promptly walks in a run on 4 consecutive pitches to Brantly…..and that doesn’t tickle.
July 26, 2019 at 9:50 pm #99405Big home run. Let’s just walk 4 in a row. Loser mentality
Edit: I know it was three I just have a flair for the dramatic
July 26, 2019 at 9:53 pm #99406Three straight walks is kind of a meltdown by the pen. Hate to give it away like that.
July 26, 2019 at 9:53 pm #99407Miller comes back to K Correo to limit the damage to just the one run. 3-2 Bad Guys heading to the Redbird 8th.

Participantwell just got to tune in to see our pitchers walk 3 straight guys. not good. I don’t see what the announcer was griping about. I saw one close pitch for both gant and miller. neither a definite strike and both pitchers were missing so horribly, they didn’t deserve any close calls.
July 26, 2019 at 10:03 pm #99410Ump has had a tight zone, but they know that by now. This is the same ump that Aaron Boone was suspended for going off on last week.
July 26, 2019 at 10:04 pm #99411Goldy with the 3-run jack! Cards lead 5-3.
July 26, 2019 at 10:05 pm #99412Bottom of 8 . Ryan Pressly on for Houston.
Dexter – His backswing nails Dexter on his own back and then to boot he lands awkwardly….trying to shake it off. He’ll step back in. Nice at bat as he coaxed a 9 pitch free pass.
JMart – Smokes a liner to left that will find it’s way all the way to the wall and Jose will check into 2nd with a double with Dexter stopping at 3rd….sweet sweet start to the 8th! Bader will pinch run for Jose at 2nd.
Goldy – Strokes one high and deep to center!…..Springer drifts back to the wall and leaps……gone!!!! Cards seize the lead 5-3!!! Goldy has been absolutely golden this week!!
DeJong –
July 26, 2019 at 10:06 pm #99413I feel like someone was saying Paul goldschmidts first season was a bust the other day. What an idiot
What a moment! Playing the best team while tied for first just feels bigger
July 26, 2019 at 10:06 pm #99414So who saves?
July 26, 2019 at 10:06 pm #99415Hoping Rats learns the guy’s name soon. He has gone deep in five straight.
July 26, 2019 at 10:10 pm #99416Everyone has been saying for weeks that if Goldy ever started hitting like the real Goldy this team would take off. We are now seeing it.
July 26, 2019 at 10:11 pm #99417Devenski on for Pressly as Elvis has left the building….most likely with a big ole’ “L” to his win-loss slate. The name Devenski reminds me of the perpetrators name from that old Charles Bronson movie “Telefon”…..I think his name was Nicoli Dalchimpski….sweet movie back in the day.
July 26, 2019 at 10:13 pm #99418CMart warming in the pen for the ninth. Say your prayers. Over/under on walks and hit batsmen? I will go with two each.

Participantwell gacard, goldy was a bust for a while. while not alone in that, he was expected to come in and be that difference maker at the plate. he wasn’t that the first half of the season. yea hes gotten hot as of late and hopefully will stay that way but he was horrible at time, let alone just not good.
July 26, 2019 at 10:15 pm #99420I feel like someone was saying Paul Goldschmidt’s first season was a bust the other day. What an idiot!
Let’s not name names now , GAC…..cough cough….anybody seen RatsBuddy lately?
July 26, 2019 at 10:15 pm #99421I feel like someone was saying Paul goldschmidts first season was a bust the other day. What an idiot
LOL. I declared that Goldy had turned the corner about 10 days or two weeks ago and was back to from. Then he immediately nose-dived with a flurry of strikeouts in key situations with runners on base. And then, just when I thought he just might not ever really catch fire all season, Pittsburgh happened. Baseball can be a funny game.
July 26, 2019 at 10:16 pm #99422Willie – I was making a joke against my own post calling his first season a bust without a big turnaround 5 days ago. I seem to have reverse cursed him
July 26, 2019 at 10:18 pm #99423Runners on 1st & 2nd with Wieters up….too bad nobody was on as he just might jack another
July 26, 2019 at 10:19 pm #99424Edman just missed that pitch as he flys out to deep right. 5-3 Birds heading to the inning of reckoning. Carlos anybody? Gallegos can’t go again tonight this soon.
July 26, 2019 at 10:20 pm #99425Cubs just lost to the Brewers!
July 26, 2019 at 10:20 pm #99426Cmon Carlos
