<The Pirates radio announcers are discussing Munoz and his steals last night again. I guess the Pirates catcher was upset. Perhaps he should have cared more to prevent Munoz from getting such easy bases.>

Agree. It was only the 4th inning and you can’t stop playing the game because the other team is lousy. Diaz made no effort to stop the steals so he has only himself to blame. Their position player pitchers looked better than the regulars.

<McLaughlin just said Carp is going to Springfield tonight for team activities and will play in the game Friday.>

I heard that. They will keep dropping him down until they find a league where he can hit. There is still T-Ball you know.

Carlos: I would not be surprised to see CMart with a new home by the end of the month. Gallegos is looking like the best closer material we have at present.

</This run has been great and we’ve done it without Carp and Ozuna.>
And Molina. And we have one catcher with speed and another with a power bat. Am I right in thinking that Wieters is a one year contract? Things could get interesting in that area during the next off season.

Carlos is now reminding me of Trevor Rosenthal – heart attack in the 9th.

The lineup is hitting, and they have cut down dramatically on Ks. I don’t want to disrupt this lineup, especially with Carp. I might try to work Ozuna back into it, slowly. But, I wouldn’t even guarantee Molina a spot with this team going this well.

When things go well, sometimes it is a good idea not to ask why or to assume that it will get better if you put in a “better” hitter. They are alive and motivated. Edman looks better at third than does Carp. Munoz looks better in left, as does everyone. Who do we bench to get one of them back in the lineup? Who hasn’t been a good part of this 11-3 run since the break?

If they can pitch, maybe they can give them a start in place of Wainwright. It seems to take at least a nine-run inning to support him recently.

Carp is 0 for 6 with 3 Ks at Memphis.

Been a real good run since the ASB. Houston looks like a tall order over the weekend but it’s at home and the team is red hot and riding high. This beats the hell out of the heaping helping of .500 baseball we’ve been treated to for most of 4 years.

I hope the lads can keep it up and roll on.
