Yeah the ozuna hate is overblown in my opinion. The fielding is truly terrible but his bat still deserves time to come around. I think if dex is replaced with someone productive it might do wonders for for the lineup. I’d love to see dex succeed but it just doesn’t seem realistic

Ryu exits with an unknown injury.

Man I know it’s an early April game and earlier start time but the park looks half empty but we know it’s about tickets sold but not even the weather can be blamed nor the prices.

    Quality opponent, too.

Odd to see Mikolas hit three batters. That last one was a pretty wimpy HBP though.

C’mon Miles! We need another starter to get through 6 innings!

well got back in time to see mikolas get out of trouble. then see bader look silly at bat. that first pitch was there to be hit to right field if he wasn’t trying to pull it.it was all over after that, no pitch after that was close and bader just went down wild swinging.

mikolas just isn’t the same guy this year. he isn’t bad, he just isn’t quite there with his control.

A bit of bad base running by LA and we get out of a huge Jam.

Miles has got to get is control under.

At least we didn’t sign Joe Kelly. Look at that era

The 2 games (now 3) I’ve seen him he’s been god awful.

Be careful what you wish for. Kelly signed with the Dodgers mainly because it was his childhood team. Then he should know the fans are about the most unforgiving as they come.

a lot of our guys eras aren’t that good either. I do know that Kelly was great for the red sox and he wasn’t bad for us when he was here.

You would think O’Neill would be the defensive replacement for Martinez.

I would’ve thought we’d have a lefty up but ok. Gant did only throw 9 pitches last inning.

Frustrates me when we give runs away with HBP or walks. Gave two away and survived it. Stoic effort with limited control.

That’s two in a row. If we win one tomorrow, that’s called a winning streak. It has happened before.

Euro Wolf is harnessing his inner Lou Brown.

So far Gant is the MVP of this team.

God I hope Ozuna is capable of returning to his prime year with MIA. A productive 2-3-4 would surely put some kind of fear in opposing pitchers.

I dont think Hicks is far off from being more dependable, if that changeup comes into it’s own though we may need to rethink him as a closer and maybe stretch him back out for starting

that fastball and changeup combo with that slider is plenty of dynamism to get through 5

In two of his five games already, Hicks has been asked to pitch more than one inning. It that pattern continues, I will be concerned about the impact on him if he assumes a regular closer’s frequency of use.
