Looking at Nado’s numbers this season, keeping him would have helped. I actually lobbied for keeping him simply because he’s right handed and still plays solid defense and because of our pitching and left handed heavy lineup, the Cardinals actually made the most sense as far as teams that fit his skillset.

At least now we know what we probably already knew about Gorman. He strikes out a ton and only hits low fastballs.

14 strikeouts tonight. 4 by Walker. 3 by Gorman. Not a winning recipe.

And, Gorman strikes out. Surprise, Surprise.

Gorman and Walker both looked horrible at the plate tonight.

A Gorman K to end it. What a shocker!

I had a good feeling about this game after Soriano escaped the visitor half of the 9th and kept it a 1 run game. Just shows to go you that I’ll never be a baseball gypsy with an all knowing crystal ball.

Tough to lose those 1-run affairs, especially when you get good pitching. But we have been somewhat charmed this year and things will likely even out to some degree.

Arenado is an all around better player than Gorman but we don’t know that Nado would have put up the same numbers in STL that he is in ARI this year. Some of it may be due to a change of scenery and him feeling more energized.
