That’s 5 taters in 12 games for Walker.
April 8, 2026 at 4:21 pm #304297Walker likes DC! 3rd HR in three days, and this off a righty.
April 8, 2026 at 4:23 pm #304298Man O Man, Jordan been eatin’ his wheaties!
April 8, 2026 at 4:24 pm #304299If Walker and Gorman can simultaneously put together a decent season, this team may have the ability to push a few runs across HP.
April 8, 2026 at 4:28 pm #304300We chased Mikolas. Good job boys!
Why was he pulled early?
He had a 3:30 tee time
April 8, 2026 at 4:31 pm #304301McGreevy is at 72 pitches through 5. He has gotten a lot more efficient after the first. Could a really efficient 6th get him back out for the 7th?

Oui, oui! c’est un homme naturel!

ParticipantNice to see walker stay hot, best thing im seeing is mcgreevy. Pitching nice. Hopefully can at least get through 6th.
April 8, 2026 at 4:40 pm #304305I’d say he’d have to work through the 6th with 10 or less pitches, Gagli. Even then, I’m not too sure the little whiz-kid general would allow him to begin the 7th. That’s a shame, but it’s the reality these days. It won’t be too long before a CG shutout is as rare as a no-no.

ParticipantJj nice play.
April 8, 2026 at 4:47 pm #304309Alas, McGreevy needs more pitches for the 6th, so is up to 92. Time to take some antacid, folks. The bullpen needs three innings.
April 8, 2026 at 4:48 pm #304310McGreevy reminds me a little of Matt Morris at times. Their deliveries are similar and their jersey numbers as a Cardinal are 35 and 36. In addition, they’re both big, strong, RH’ed SP’ers.
April 8, 2026 at 4:49 pm #304311Matt Svanson up in the bullpen. Gulp.

ParticipantHes over 90 now, i wouldnt push him.

ParticipantIm pretty sure morris had a little more speed, i believe mid 90s. To me mcgreevy is a little more finesse. Morris was more of a bulldog. Thats my thought anyway
April 8, 2026 at 4:54 pm #304314Might need a couple more runs before we see Brett Cecil for the 7th…
April 8, 2026 at 4:58 pm #304315Yeah, Morris worked with quite a bit of velocity before he hurt his arm and missed the ’99 season. After that, I recall that he had to work to contact. He was pretty good at it for several seasons.
April 8, 2026 at 5:08 pm #304316Burleson with a real nice day at the plate thus far. Alec’s proven that he can hit.
April 8, 2026 at 5:13 pm #304317Winn seems to be just flailing these days.
April 8, 2026 at 5:16 pm #304318And Herrera reached base three times. If Wetherholt, Herrera, Burly, Walker and Gorman all get going, that is not a bad 1-5.
April 8, 2026 at 5:28 pm #304319Yeah, Herrera’s been scuffling early, but he’s shown that he’ll make a pitcher work and that he doesn’t chase too often.
April 8, 2026 at 5:31 pm #304320It’s probably my imagination, but it looks to me like Ivan’s front foot is a bit more open that I recall seeing in the past. Uh ohh…Took one on the hand.
April 8, 2026 at 5:34 pm #304321This pitcher’s wild as Charo. Cuchi-Cuchi…
April 8, 2026 at 5:44 pm #304322Pozo’s first hit of the season is a productive one…6-1 good guys.

ParticipantSad news to report. Davey lopes has died. I always liked him as a player.
