8th best offense against right handed pitching. 18th best against left handed pitching. Wonder why we see so many lefties?

After a Donny single and advancement on a wild pitch, Soroka leaves 94mph right over the middle, and Burly drives in another run. Soroka at 70 pitches.
    2-0 StL after 3

I like how Pozo features Mikolas soft stuff. He leads with it and makes 85-90mph look better. It’s Miles best pitches for me too.

I agree JJ. Pozo has had a fair amount of success with Mikolas this season. It helps that Miles is hitting the corners frequently tonight, but I also agree about leading with soft stuff.

The most consecutive games that the Cardinals have lost this season is 6. Same with the Dodgers.

Mikolas has thrown just 3 middle-middle pitches tonight through 4 innings. The leadoff double was one.

The most consecutive games the Cardinals have won this season is 9. The Dodgers best W streak this season was 8 in row back in late March and early April.

So the Cardinals are clearly better than the Dodgers?

Best pitches early demands you either throws strikes or get behind. He’s managing Miles. Here’s your best case, and if you mess it up….

There’s a good possibility that my memory’s not fully up to speed, but I genuinely can’t recall consistently seeing as many empty seats in over 30 years. Anyone else?

I happen to believe that the Dodgers are far and away the best team in either league. I haven’t checked, but I’d be highly surprised if they aren’t still the odds on favorite to win the WS.

3rd time thru our lineup and we get a lefty for Soroka

This DC lefty reminds me a little of vintage Al…Haha!

Right now if I had to pick the teams that will participate in this year’s WS those two teams would be LA/TOR. Dodgers in 7 with Big Freddie and Little Eddie sharing the MVP…Haha!

Who would you have in the NLCS Dom?

Heck, I hadn’t really thought too much about it, jj. I’m just creating some chatter. But if I had to make a quick pick, I’d guess LA/NY. That ought to at least please the TV guys.

A good pull of Miles, his history w/Bell favors Bell.

I’m not sure how Pozo gets credit with a hit there with a ground ball hit right to CJ Abrahams at SS but since he didn’t touch it, it’s a hit.

They throw a lefty and we go 3 up, 3 down. In comes a righty and its baserunners-R-Us for a crooked number.

They had the fortunite BAbip last night vs Andre. That inning felt like payback 😀

Well, with an 8-0 lead it looks like the Cardinals are going to win this series. And the tease continues.

Gorman K’s for the 3rd time tonight. I can’t recall a more disappointing Cardinal player in quite a while.

The Cardinals keep resurrecting 30 year old career minor leaguers and Winn keeps resurrecting Shawon Dunston. Masyn can launch it across the IF.

Should have been traded in the offseason.

Whose to say the they didn’t try. Maybe they were getting Juan Yepez offers.

It would be about 30 years. I believe the Dewitt ownership group bought in 1995 and that was a year they drew 1.7 million or so fans and the stadium was bigger.
