Good play by Winn to get Horowitz trying to take third on the grounder. 5 hits now in the inning by the pirates. Fedde should be done. I think the last 2 innings have killed him.
June 30, 2025 at 8:03 pm #286155It’s 2-0…IBB him.
June 30, 2025 at 8:03 pm #286156
jj-cf-stlParticipantYa. We’ve got to keep Fedde fresh for the postseason rotation 🙉
June 30, 2025 at 8:04 pm #286157Like the announcers said, if Fedde is not going to get the corners and the other team is not going to swing out of the zone, he is not good.
June 30, 2025 at 8:04 pm #286158It’s perfectly normal for the Redbird manager to let this game get away, but still hard to believe that Fedde’s still out there. Shameful…
June 30, 2025 at 8:05 pm #286159Pirates have blown this one open.
Better luck tomorrow night.
Who knows if this great offense of ours will even get a hit tonight.
June 30, 2025 at 8:05 pm #286160I’m trying to recall the last time I saw a 1B’man batting lead-off.
Didn’t Matt Carpenter bat lead off for us quite a bit.
June 30, 2025 at 8:05 pm #286161Is that 8 hits now in this inning? I guess it’s 7.
Bart should be embarrassed. He swung at a pitch and didn’t make contact. Then he hits into a double play to end the inning.
June 30, 2025 at 8:05 pm #286162Sorry everyone. I turn the game on and Fedde proceeds to decide it is batting practice today and wants to end the winning streak. I’ll blame it on me as he must have wanted me to not enjoy the game when I can watch.
June 30, 2025 at 8:08 pm #286163I’d have to say that other than the visitor half of the 9th inning of game 1 of the ’22 NLWC, this inning has been the Cardinal manager’s finest performance…
June 30, 2025 at 8:09 pm #286164Let’s analyze all the little and big things going well for the Cardinals tonight . . .
Scott and Saggese each made a good play on defense.
And yeah. I can’t think of anything else.
June 30, 2025 at 8:10 pm #286165Chip: “Man o man, it’s almost like they know what’s coming.”
They do Chip. Another pitch from Fedde, haha. Rough inning.
June 30, 2025 at 8:10 pm #286166Haha…Yeah, M. Carpenter was the guy!
June 30, 2025 at 8:10 pm #2861677-0 is not too big of a deficit. Of course, we need a hit first.
June 30, 2025 at 8:12 pm #286168Jnevel, don’t forget Donovan walked to start the game.
June 30, 2025 at 8:13 pm #286169
jj-cf-stlParticipantIf they have any more lefties, I’d save them for game 2 & 3
June 30, 2025 at 8:14 pm #286170Forsch – I thought that might be pushing it. But yeah, if we want to get to the really small stuff . . .
June 30, 2025 at 8:15 pm #286171Now you can add Scott’s single to the list
June 30, 2025 at 8:18 pm #286172We need to get Skenes out there pitching so we’d have a chance in this one. As it stands now, it looks hopeless.
June 30, 2025 at 8:18 pm #286173
jj-cf-stlParticipantKind of hard to blame this on Herrera being IL. He doesn’t pitch that well either.
June 30, 2025 at 8:19 pm #286174So far, the Pirates MVP for the game is a tie: Horowitz, Haney and Fedde.
June 30, 2025 at 8:21 pm #286175I’m going with the grounds crew. They added something to the Cardinals dugout to put the team to sleep. Hopefully it wears off.
June 30, 2025 at 8:28 pm #286177I wasn’t all that excited about getting Fedde last season. He’s essentially Mikolas stuff-wise just with a different strategy on throwing far fewer strikes. He gets ok results a lot of the time just like Miles. But they both are prone to blowups when they don’t hit their locations.
June 30, 2025 at 8:32 pm #286178
jj-cf-stlParticipantI guess .500 for June is looking likely.
June 30, 2025 at 8:36 pm #286179
jj-cf-stlParticipantSince his most recent call-up, Sagesse is 2 fer 20
