They got away with walking Cutch in front of Pitts best hitter-Reynolds.
June 30, 2025 at 7:31 pm #286130When I saw this Pirate pitcher’s name it made me think of Mr. Haney on the old Green Acres show. Some of you may recall the con-man/swindler who owned various businesses that offered up several dubious services such as animal rentals and a chicken watching service…Haha!
June 30, 2025 at 7:33 pm #286131He’s throwing a lot better than Mr. Haney would
June 30, 2025 at 7:34 pm #286132Haha!…Yeah, he is, Forsch.
June 30, 2025 at 7:35 pm #286133I learned something today from watching the game. Had never heard of Sheetz (the logo on the Pirates uniform and behind the mound). Googled and found out it is a family owned chain of convenience stores with about 750 locations.

jj-cf-stlParticipantWhen everyone else blows up this lefty, this roster struggles mightily. Brocken record jj!
June 30, 2025 at 7:38 pm #286135Well, the Cardinals are hitting like the Pirates are the Sheetz.
June 30, 2025 at 7:40 pm #286136Light crowd on here tonight as Forsch mentioned. A short slate too with the Cardinals/Pirates being the only 2 teams in the NLC to see any action today and a total of only 8 Big League games. Must be a Monday.
June 30, 2025 at 7:40 pm #286137Scott should be the center fielder almost every day. Great play to run that down.
June 30, 2025 at 7:41 pm #286138Kind of a boring game thus far.
Although Victor just got an exciting catch.
Could Burleson swing at any more balls at his feet? I think that’s 4 so far in 2 at bats.
June 30, 2025 at 7:41 pm #286139You’re thinking of Ben Sheetz…
June 30, 2025 at 7:42 pm #286140Once again they can’t hit anything.
No hits through the first four innings.
This game might end 1-0 on that leadoff homerun.
Pitiful.
June 30, 2025 at 7:42 pm #286141I am going to shut up about the number of Fedde’s pitches.
June 30, 2025 at 7:44 pm #286142It’s my fault…I made fun of this lefty and, Presto! He immediately turned into Sandy Koufax…
June 30, 2025 at 7:46 pm #286143
jj-cf-stlParticipantWhen Flash in the pan pitched last, Ian Happ homered on the first pitch. The final was 8-0, over by the first pitch Rats.
June 30, 2025 at 7:47 pm #286144Fedde survives the 1 out walk to Cruz. 1-0 Pirates after 4.
June 30, 2025 at 7:49 pm #286145I’m a little torn on this one. Andrew Heaney played for my alma mater Oklahoma State and I watched him pitch multiple times so I would like for him to do good. Hopefully they will pull him after 5 or 6 innings and we then light up their bullpen for several runs.
June 30, 2025 at 7:51 pm #286146If he had to face Burleson and Donovan every batter, he would be done after 4
June 30, 2025 at 7:55 pm #286147The only Redbird baserunner was the lead-off BB to Donovan to start this game. Since then 14 in a row have been retired with the help of the 1st inning GIDP.

jj-cf-stlParticipantIf they wake up, someone tell the lineup the score.
June 30, 2025 at 7:57 pm #286149Maybe they needed the rainout.
June 30, 2025 at 7:59 pm #286150Horowitz 3 Cardinals 0
June 30, 2025 at 7:59 pm #286151Heaney along with Horwitz is killing us. I’m trying to recall the last time I saw a 1B’man batting lead-off.
June 30, 2025 at 8:00 pm #286152Thank goodness for the Horwitz baserunning blunder.
June 30, 2025 at 8:01 pm #286153This is just about out of the bag. Gotta go out and get Fedde.
