Yeah, they’re getting ready to place it out of reach here in the 4th, jj.

That may give up the ghost on this one…7-0.

Haha…Brad Thompson was almost always the guy TLR went to when the unwritten rules had to be enforced.

Fedde pitching a horrible game tonight. A long stretch of consecutive games and a short start from McGreevy with Fedde tonight not even making it through 4. Svanson will likely have to pitch a couple tonight and then they will option him. Unsure who they would bring up as they have been optioning out a lot of guys and it has to be 15 days between callups unless for an injury or the 27th man

This game’s fast becoming an embarrassment.

    How’s the crowd tonight?

Looks to be pretty good, jj. I was out in the yard right before first pitch and noticed that even though it’s still warm, it was pleasant compared with the last couple of evenings. I’ll also guess that the firt two W’s of the series probably attracted quite a few walk ups for tonight’s game. It’s a shame this one’s not a bit more competitive. I’ll guess the box claims somewhere between 33K to 36K.

Not only did this game deteriorate to a bust early but, as Bikemike mentioned, it gives the Cubbies some sorely needed air and creates the genuine possibility of a split of this 4 game series. I’d have to say that after winning the first 2 games, a split would not only be disappointing, but also nearly as deflating as a series loss. This one seemed to land in the fire with the first pitch of the game.

This getting shut down by another lefty thing continues. 3 hits and one is by Gorman.

Yeah, and this guy’s not at all that good.

Well, although the game’s been pretty lousy, I thought it was entertaining seeing and listening to TLR while he spent some time in the broacast booth during the telecast. It was the first time in quite a while that I’d laid eyes on a Cardinal manager…

They chose to bring up Fermine, for Walker. Burly had already benched Walker in RF, but I wonder if Baker was in the discussion.

Yeah, Luckenbach hasn’t even been on the proverbial milk carton for quite a while. I guess they figure he’s had plenty of opportunities.

If Fermine is backup shortstop capable that fits. And Fermine gets a hit.

Fermin rips a solid base hit in an 8-0 game. Too bad you can’t bank those for a time in a game that might make a difference in whether or not you stay around in the Big Leagues.

I guess this one was over after the first Fedde pitch. Putrid job lineup.

Yeah, that HR on the first pitch turned out to leave no doubt as to where this one was headed.

Yeah, a real lousy effort from the bats to match the shoddy turn from Fedde. Only 4 hits total with 3 hits off a LHP’er that didn’t impress me as anything at all special. They couldn’t even coax a solitary BB to reach base.

A sad, sad morning read. Don’t think I’ll bother watching the replay today. Why give myself the aggro.

Catching up on a juicier topic, I was astonished to learn from you posters that I am not alone in the world in salting my cantaloupe. It’s something I’ve always done as the rest of my family looks on in horror.

    Rah Cardinals!

Sorry they can’t do the previous 2 nights for you guys.

Let’s get a win off the pitcher coming off the DL tomorrow. Win the series!

Absolutely not. He has no place on this team with our roster construction. Too many 1B DH types.

Wonder what Siani is thinking with Hampston on the roster?

Baker is really, really struggling with Memphis. It doesn’t matter whether you look at the entire season to date or just June. He has not earned another shot with St. Louis whether they have a need at his position or not.

Give them enough PA’s, and the players will seperate themselves.
