Arenado and Contreras combine for an absolutely huge big league play!

    Lol, very enjoyable game.
Back to .500 during June (11-11), and 6 games remaining to write June down as a step forward.

The Cubs better not look in their rear view mirror. They might not like what they see.

If the Cards can get another win or two in this series Mo can put the big sell off plans on hold.

Those Cubbies have now officially been placed on notice that there’s still a baseball team located 300 miles due south of Chicago known as the St. Louis, Cardinals…Go Redbirds!

The lousy play in CF by Crowbar turns out to be the difference in an 8-7 final score and only goes to illustrate positive proof that the baseball gypsies will always place a curse on whoever dares to dog it on the field of play…Haha!

Maybe the biggest win this club has had since 2022.

Yeah 1TD – and credit Winn for not taking it for granted that he would only get to third. Maybe Warner gets credit too – not sure. I would need to see it again.

They just showed it again – Winn hustled all the way and Warner had the windmill going telling him to keep running. Great hustle and aggression all the way around.

Maton with I thought what was far and away the best work from the 5 Redbird pitchers who made appearances tonight. And I hate to put any sort of a damper on an outstanding W for the team, but I didn’t think Helsley looked anywhere near close to being the effective closer that the Cardinals are going to need for him to be if they’re going to make a serious run at the post-season during the second half.

Yeah, Bikemike, I’m sure Warner’s eyes lit up like he’d hit the jackpot when he realized that Crowbar had dropped his watch out in CF. At that point, he’s letting Winn know to keep the throttle wide open until either his engine scatters, or he crosses HP…Haha!

Haha!…I love saying, “Crowbar.” Rat came up with that nickname and it sure helped pry a W away from those Cubbies tonight!

They’re interviewing Burleson in the clubhouse and I just noticed that he looks a little like Larry Walker…

The box says 29.5K in attendance tonight. That’s a slight improvement over Monday’s game. In any case, maybe there’ll be more fans who head down to ballpark on a fly if the Cardinals continue to play well. At least that’s the typical response from almost any fan base in almost any team sport.

The Brewers and Reds both with W’s tonight which places 4 teams in the NLC within 4.5 games of each other in the standings which could create the chance for a genuine free for all in the second half.

Cards and Brewers tied for the final wildcard spot as we near the season’s halfway point. Who woulda thunk it?

Terrific wake-up read! When I get back from a few morning chores I look forward to settling back with my feet up and a cold one in hand to watch the MLB-TV replay.

KCB: Ah, someone who understands his Haagen-Dazs. Turns out I was a good boy, fell asleep in my chair and imbibed no ice cream at all. I’ll make up for it tonight.

    Rah Cardinals!
