Did they say 50% of the sales from those auctions go to helping the tornado recovery? That seems like profiteering off tragedy of others as someone is raking in the dough with those sales for the other 50%. It is good to help others, but if you really want to help provide all proceeds to the recovery effort.
June 6, 2025 at 9:41 pm #28426170 pitches through 5 for Gray. He should be able to get 6 in for sure and depending on how the next one goes maybe a partial 7th
June 6, 2025 at 9:42 pm #284262
jj-cf-stlParticipantGray still challenging Betts. Got him out for a change.
June 6, 2025 at 9:49 pm #284263The other night one of the local StL. news affiliates ran a short piece on a severe thunderstorm that moved through the area on Tues. evening. The film footage they used in that recent news piece was of damage that was caused by the tornado that hit the area on May 16th. It’s as if they’re using it as stock footage to increase their ratings.

jj-cf-stlParticipant3-1 pitch, atta-boy Donny
June 6, 2025 at 9:52 pm #284265Nice…Obviously a huge 2 out 2 RBI base hit from Donovan. Those 2 out RBI’s are killers.
June 6, 2025 at 9:53 pm #284266Checking in around the league, the Cubs lost to the Tigers 3-1. A great opportunity to gain a game on them today. The Brewers also lost.
June 6, 2025 at 9:55 pm #284267
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe two lefties have a hit, run and a walk. Chipping in.
June 6, 2025 at 10:04 pm #284268I’m surprised to see Wrobleski back out there with how bad his control was last inning.
June 6, 2025 at 10:07 pm #284269Arenado actually having a good day and is putting good bat on the ball and is 3 for 3
June 6, 2025 at 10:10 pm #284270Manny’s simply overmatched at this level. I feel bad for the guy.
June 6, 2025 at 10:12 pm #284271
jj-cf-stlParticipantShort timer now.
June 6, 2025 at 10:14 pm #284272
jj-cf-stlParticipantSonny, we will pass on “late and close” tonight.
June 6, 2025 at 10:19 pm #284273Great start by Gray. Jojo comes in and gets the double play to close the book on Gray. He allowed quite a few hits against a great lineup, but he limited the damage.
June 6, 2025 at 10:28 pm #284274
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe runs scored have been there. We just needed someone to pitch well.
June 6, 2025 at 10:30 pm #284275Betts is just a great athlete. How many guys his size can hit for as much power as he does? Then the pure athlete he is goes from playing RF everyday his whole career to the starting SS and is above average with the glove there.
June 6, 2025 at 10:33 pm #284276
jj-cf-stlParticipantThey have 6 outs left and the bottom 6 of their order due up. After that it’s MVP row again.
June 6, 2025 at 10:37 pm #284277Incredible job to get out of that by Maton. His breaking pitches looked unhittable there and the hitters were left scratching their heads.
June 6, 2025 at 10:39 pm #284278Yeah, Betts is a one off type player, ATM. At 5-10, 180 lbs. he reminds me a little bit of 5-8 175 lbs. Kirby Puckett who was, not only one heck of an athlete, but also a 6 time GG CF’er who hit for both power and avg.
June 6, 2025 at 10:40 pm #284279What a beautiful inning by Maton. If he keeps that up, I’ll forget all about Kitty. The more I look at these Dodgers the more that I think “you know, these guys are sweepable”.
June 6, 2025 at 10:42 pm #2842801TD, what is crazy to me is Betts has been playing good this year, despite losing 10% of his body weight in a week right at Opening Day from being sick. I imagine as the year goes on and he continues to put that weight back on he will perform even better.
June 6, 2025 at 10:43 pm #284281Contreras crushed that ball
June 6, 2025 at 10:43 pm #284282Contreras connects!
June 6, 2025 at 10:45 pm #284283Contreras keeps on matriculatin’ with the solo TATER! Keep ’em comin’…No lead is ever safe.
June 6, 2025 at 10:52 pm #284284I think this ump wants to go home. At least he is consistent with that away pitch
