Not what you want to see, but that could have been a lot worse. Isbel advancing to 2B on the throw home from the Nootz probably turned out to be a blessing in the sense of an open base with Witt coming to the plate.

I never used to like to see a baserunner end up at 2B with a game on the line when the great Pujols was here and tearing up the NL. No way did any opposing manager want any part of the great slugger in those first 10 or 11 years of his career. He was really no one to play around with…Haha!

I agree Helsley has not been elite this year. His almost 1.50 WHIP is worse than all five of our starters.
