Haha…All the way to the foot of the LF wall and 2 runs score!

There’s some icing. After 2 K’s earlier, Walker drives in two runs.

One thing about Walker, his bat speed and exit velocity is really good. Just needs to learn better pitch selection and contact.

Just put the ball in play…. Hbp, sac bunt, groundout.

Walker came through there after 2 bad Ks earlier. Agree with BikeMike on what Walker needs to improve. First focus on making contact with the ball and then we can talk later about hitting more line drives and fly balls

Leahy in. I’m not surprised though as Liberatore went 7 and this would be the 4th time through the order. Let Leahy have the 8th and get Helsey in for the 9th. Preferably with a 3+ run lead still

And Leahy gets smacked around a little unfortunately and leaves after only 1 out with a run allowed, but still runners on 1st and 3rd. Maybe Matz can get out of this quickly without any more runs

Leahy gets knocked around. Three hits, and the only out was drilled pretty good. Matz in to try to stabilize things.

They have the same game plan; dbl, single, sac fly, single.

Little bit of trouble here. They were in attack mode this inning. Matz needs to be careful as they are being aggressive early in the count.

Oh man horrible decision by Walker there. That would have been just 1st and 2nd there, but all the runners score and Naylor to 3rd

Walker returns the favor in the OF.

And Walker on the other side of a similar play. Tie game as the Cardinals bullpen is getting smoked. Two runs last night off the ‘pen and three more here, with possibly more.

A terrible pitch placement by Matz and even worse defense by Walker and it’s tied.

You keep the ball in front of you there and keep the lead to one.

The bullpen doesn’t have it today. Yikes.

    Walker giveth and taketh away.

How in the world did that ball just land? 3 players could have caught that.

And now a drop that should have been caught by someone. Ugh….

Nado really handles third base great. Oh man – gave ‘em a run there. Sheesh – Donovan never saw it and Victor a little too deep, although he could have had it but Donovan was in no man’s land confusing things.

A simple ball in play. A K ends it.

That pop-up looked like a play I see all the time in the senior softball league I play in. A lot of these old guys can’t catch the ball when it is popped way up. Heck, half the time they don’t catch it when it is only popped a little of the way up. 😂

What an ugly ugly top of the 8th. Libby deserves better than a no decision but the bullpen and defense totally collapsed.

Welp, our bats need to scratch across a couple of runs here.

The fact Liberatore only has 3 wins this year despite the great starts deep into games he is giving the team is an absolute shame. You pitch 6 or 7 innings giving 2 or less runs 7 times in the year and you expect to rack up the wins
