    That’s a lot of groundouts.

He thought they increased them to 20″…

I wasn’t a big Pallante fan. Thought his mechanics were such that he would struggle with control. But he has really shown he belongs in the rotation.

Not meant to disparage Nado, but Scott Rolen was one of the best baserunners I’ve ever seen navigate the basepaths.

Herrera with that odd stance, but gets himself in the hitting zone and is looking like a real fine hitter.

Larry Walker was about the best I have ever seen as a base runner. But I saw a lot of Rockies games back when he was out here.

He’s now up to .304 for his career. Rat loves the guy!

    Herrera is an absolute beast.

Now it’s 8-2. Walker (not Larry) with the RBI single.

Yeah, Walker was real good in the precise same context as was Rolen. Two guys who became really smart whenever they walked onto a playing field.

Scott Rolen will be at the National Sports Collectors Convention this year. I would buy an autograph ticket and meet him, but he signs on Saturday and I will only be there Thursday and Friday. Albert Pujols is signing Saturday as well.

Yeah, Pugs, Herrera now up to .306 for his career. That’s George Brett territory…Haha!

I see the Cubs rolled up another bunch of runs today, against their cross town rivals. Those guys will be tough as they have not had their two top pitchers much this year.

When he opens the throttle Witt makes triples look easy.

After 8, no BB’s allowed by either club.

And just like that we see a walk – Winn gets the free pass off our old buddy Chris Stratton.

Yeah, those Cubbies have had no trouble pushing runs across. Hopefully that trait will recede a little bit by the time we play them some time in the next century…

Cards keep hitting with RISP. And now up to double-digits. No need for Nado to touch first on that RBI.

I don’t know how many follow any auto racing, but those Royals batting helmets remind me of the livery used for all those “Mild Seven” sponsored race cars.

Great start by Pallante and good job overall on the offense. Herrera with 4 RBIs and 2 runs is my player of the game though.

That was a convincing 10-3 W in another road game.

Pallante kept Arenado busy all game. That’s a whole lot of groundouts.

Yeah, Albert, the 3 run double from Herrera in the 6th was the defining moment of this game.

    11+1 last 12 games.

From 5 under to 5 over.

We’ll see how it looks at the end of the month….
