Ivan has 30 ABs on the year with 5 HRs. Obviously not sustainable but a fun small sample size stat
May 12, 2025 at 7:46 pm #281900I’m going to call that Kyle Leahy gets the #5 starting spot in the rotation next year. He has really stepped up and he has a typical starters arsenal.
May 12, 2025 at 7:47 pm #281901Nice work that inning by Leahy. Need to add on here!
May 12, 2025 at 7:47 pm #281902That misplay from Barrero in CF was twofold in regards to breaking the wrong way and then the double clutch on the throw which I thought allowed Schwarber to advance to 3B. I give Nado a pass on the hesitation that resulted in no chance for the GIDP, simply because he got caught thinking about possibly preventing Schwarber from scoring the tying run.
May 12, 2025 at 7:48 pm #281903I like his demeanor ATM. But I like his last 2 innings more.
May 12, 2025 at 7:50 pm #281904Agree on the Barrero play. Should have been an out, and at worst, only a man on 2nd.
For Arenado I was talking about an infield hit earlier in the game that took a big hop and Arenado didn’t play it well, but the error to me was the bobble of the ball as he throws that guy out without the bobble
May 12, 2025 at 7:54 pm #281905Yeah, I don’t think Herrerra is going to maintain anywhere close to a .967 SLG pct…Haha! I’ll never forget Pujols in the ’04 NLCS. He hung a 1.000 SLG up on the board for that 7 game series. Beltran came in 2nd with a .958…That was a genuine nuclear exchange between two superpowers…Haha!

jj-cf-stlParticipantI think Oli wants to win this one. Even he’s trying to stay out of the way.
May 12, 2025 at 7:59 pm #281907Carbon copy singles.
May 12, 2025 at 8:00 pm #281908Jojo in a 1 run game with runners on? No thanks. Go to Matz for one out
May 12, 2025 at 8:00 pm #281909I’m not sure I like this. That little poodle under Jo Jo’s cap makes me nervous…
May 12, 2025 at 8:02 pm #281910Did I say easy out?
May 12, 2025 at 8:03 pm #281911Well thankfully Jojo and his poodle get a weak fly ball to get out of it
May 12, 2025 at 8:03 pm #281912I love that little poodle…Haha!
May 12, 2025 at 8:04 pm #281913Jojo has been pitching really well lately. He looks sharp. If it was me, I’d let him pitch the bottom of the 9th with all the lefties coming up. Have Helsley warm up on standby.
May 12, 2025 at 8:05 pm #281914Let’s get an insurance run because Helsey likes to make it interesting
May 12, 2025 at 8:08 pm #281915What a way to end Scott’s hitting streak with a PA appearance against a lefty
May 12, 2025 at 8:09 pm #281916
jj-cf-stlParticipantGood 📞
May 12, 2025 at 8:11 pm #281917Because we have “roles”, Helsley comes on despite being shaky in most of his appearances, having just a 1-run lead, and coming in to face a row of lefties replacing our lefty specialist who only faced one hitter. And all of this in front of the most difficult place to pitch when the game gets tense.
Do you think I like this? No.
May 12, 2025 at 8:12 pm #281918When Helsley has that pitch he’s untouchable.
May 12, 2025 at 8:12 pm #281919Fortunately several of these lefties are bad hitters . . .
May 12, 2025 at 8:13 pm #281920He does look sharp so far Dom!
May 12, 2025 at 8:14 pm #281921Got away with one on the 1-0.
May 12, 2025 at 8:16 pm #281922Helsey sits them down 1, 2, 3. Walker with a great play in RF there. He covered a lot of ground very fast to make up for Victor’s bad jump
May 12, 2025 at 8:16 pm #281923Shooooo! Good catch Jordan!
