Looks like the Cardinals are going to have to win this game to keep pace in the NLC because after being shutout by the Brewers yesterday, the Cubbies are again scoring lots of runs as they lead the Giants 9-2 in the home half of the 8th at Wrigley. The Cubs lead the entire Big Leagues in runs scored by a sizeable margin.
Wouldv’ve been nice to add some padding to the 3 run cushion, but I feel reasonbly comfortable going into the visitor half. Hand it to the closer.
Reality was about 5000-6000 butts in seats by my estimation. Paid attendance probably triple that though.

The announcers must be barred from making any negative comments because they had nothing to say about it after the call stood.
With replay there is zero excuse to ever miss a call. Sure – live action it can happen regularly but with slow motion replay from several angles?
