Nice work by Gray to escape that inning down 2-0.

Much like the Dodgers, when their lineup rolls over, there’s those stars again.

Despite having produced only 1 HR and 7 RBI’s, Goldschmidt seems to be seeing the baseball and swinging the bat pretty well. He’s collected 29 hits for a BA of .367 which places him third in the Big Leagues in both of those hitting categories. The lack of him generating any authentic power or run production probably has to do with the fact that he leads the league in singles…Haha!

Haha…”If I’d have played my entire career hitting all of those singles like Pete Rose, I’d have worn a dress”…

If he isn’t already, Lindor’s making a case as the premier SS in either league. That was a real nice play to get the force and end the inning.

Twice now w/a risp the strike zone gets huge for their pitcher.

Unbelievable…When things go bad, they go really…Well, they make you say bad words.

An 0-2 count ends in a leadoff walk.

That throw from Pages looked like it might sail over the CF wall for a ground rule SB…

Taylor got a bad call too. Ump panics w/RISP. He’s real bad.

One thing’s for sure is he’s staying put whenever Winn’s ready to return.

Jojo gives up a single and walk to the lefties. Not helping.

Boy do we need a rally here in the worst way.

1 more chance in the top of the 9th

I can clearly recall a Cardinal 5 game series sweep of the Mets at Shea in 1982. Does anyone know the last time, if ever, that the Cardinals have been subjected to a 4 game sweep by the Mets in NY?

Hardly can’t help but to like the hustle and presense of mind of Acuna taking 2B on that GB. That’s officially scored as a double that plugged the gap…

    Sheesh…now it’s scored as a double that provided a 2 run cushion.

Is it the same pen pitchers everyday? Seems like it.
Their lineup rolls over again and score 3, 7-3 nym

    Well 7-3 Mets after 8.

This would certainly be an epic rally but it sure feels more like a 4 game sweep and 9-13

    Ugh.

A weak GB and a wounded dying quail both go for doubles… Can’t buy a thrill. And now Soto laces one to the wall that all but guarantees the 4 game sweep.

Fernandez always brings the heat lately. Unfortunately, his heat is lighting the team’s chances on fire. Seems like he was mediocre from mid last season on as well.
