    FYI here,
The Angels beat the Doyers last night 7-6 in 10 innings at Anaheim.

The Padres beat the Giants 5-1 at Candlestick Park.

The Doyers and Padres are now tied atop the NL West.

And they square off in a three game series this weekend at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego.

    That place will be abuzz.

Thanks for the sterling late night scoreboard tidbits, Rat. Boy those Brewers are a runaway freight train. And their start to the season was absolutely horrendous. The Crew started the 2025 campaign with 4 consecutive setbacks, getting drilled by a combined score of 47-15. I wonder if a team has ever started the season 0-4 and then went on to win the world series? I can say with complete certainty that no team has won it all after being outscored by 32+ runs in their first 4 games.

Hopefully McGreevy turns in another really good start and the bats push a half dozen runs across home plate.

Facing a bad lefty? Seems like a sure way to lose the game 3-1.

Yikes, one of the only righties who can hit left handed pitching gone from the lineup. We may get shut out again.

Just based on principle, I think I’d flip-flop Saggese and Gorman in the batting order. After being promoted north in the batting lineup, it sure didn’t take Walker long to be demoted back down. Let’s pray to God that the pressure of being elevated in the order didn’t psych Walker out. If so, we may be in for a long wait for him to reach his potential.

We sure better not lose 2-3 to this largely, but not uniforminly, band of baseball misfits. These Rockies may be the worst team since the 1899 Cleveland Spiders……well maybe not that bad, but certainly the ’62 Metropolitans or ’24 ChiSox. Certainly they wouldn’t be mathematically eliminated, but if we lose another home game to these schluffs today, then MLB needs to immediately step on in and put Cardinal players and it’s fans out of their misery by officially banning them from 2025 post season play.

    FYI here again,
Ohtani hit into a triple play in the top of the 6th last night.

Then he homered leading off the 9th to put the Doyers up 6-5. But Vesia and the Doyers couldn’t hold the lead.

Din din today is the weekly trip to the Gasthof, the Amish restaurant. After a visit to Walmart, that is.

Aren’t the Angels 6-0 vs Otani & Co. this year? It seems like every time you turn around these days the Dodgers are getting their keesters kicked. No way they’re winning it all this year. I wonder how a Brewers-Mariners WS would do in the ratings? Please let us know what your Galloping Gasthof din-din consisted of later, Rat. I think I’ll be heading on over to Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse later. Not sure yet what I’ll be having, but right now I’m leaning towards a spaghetti dinner with a couple of those large Italian sausages at it’s side.

Lol poor Hampson! Can’t even get in vs. lefties.

Let’s grind one out today. About that it will take.

Our #3 hitter has an OPS under .700. It’s no wonder that we are trying to scratch out runs against a guy with an ERA over 6.

If anyone here could name any plausible starting lineup for the Colorado Rockies coming into this series, congratulations…….you are a true blue baseball fan.

Herrera, via a single and SB, is camped out at 2nd base with 2 down……but Burly bounces one back to Gomber on the hill to retire the side. Well, that’s 10 consecutive frames without pushing a run across vs these Rockies.

Yep Beck was caught off 1st…..better reverse this safe call…..you hate to burn your challenge so early, but they nailed him……a long wait which doesn’t bode well for a reversal…..ouch! Safe it is.

Well justice prevailed as Beck is rightfully removed from the basepaths trying to swipe 2nd.

Looks like I may be the lone wolf on this game thread. Everybody must be either working or playing golf. They should have played hooky from work like me. After all, how could any quality baseball fan not watch the Colorado Rockies vs the St. Louis Cardinals on such a fine Wednesday afternoon?

Fermin came up June 25th and got penciled in to start 3 times, by August 2nd. He makes Hampson look like an ever day player.

Fermin should have known better than putting up a 4-digit ops. He made “those players we want too see play” look bad.

It doesn’t matter how Pozo, Gorman or Fermin produce, they don’t fit the opening day script.

Oli and Mo must go. Enough of this garbage scripted approach. Try watching the game you fools.

Sweet! JJ, Booyah & Stlcard25 in the house. Keep this up and we’ll have more fans in this game thread than they have in the stadium today.

This one really chaps my butt. A RH bat with a 4-digit ops never got a start vs a lefty SP. Blinders, to fit their agenda.

Jnevel’s boy (Pages) ramrods a 2 run double to left to finally get his team on the scoreboard.

An OPS under .700 in the 3 slot is no big deal anymore. The fashion police have long ago determined that Gehrig and Ruth belong at lead-off or the 2 slot. And we all know that’s it’s sacrilege to question the desires of the fashion police. The 3 slot is no longer of any significant importance.

2 PA’s vs a lefty pitcher for Fermin. TWO, TWO for Christ’s sake.

Don’t play him, play our scholarships! We don’t have an issue vs lefties.
