Gorman with a monster HR to tie it up

There’s some power, keep it coming.

I’ve pretty much given up on Gorman, but when he amps up and generates the type of power that he just displayed, I’m afraid to let him walk away. At one time I was reasonably convinced that he’d rip 40 HR’s in a season before he was all done. At any rate, when he connects, the baseball covers a lot of distance in a hurry.

Works out pretty good when they hit it at Winn.

Now we’ve got Betts with the dance at 2B. If he’d driven in the lead run in a post-season game, I could understand the theatrics. But to celebrate every solitary hit seems silly to me.

Well Mikolas is throwing batting practice again. Maybe Miles could make an All Star appearance next year, as the walk off home run derby pitcher

It’s reached the stage in which anytime Mikolas faces a quality hitter, it’s a mismatch.

Can the cardinals DFA miles mikolas?

Maybe the Braves will trade an iron moke and bucket of BP balls for him

Maybe Miles gets one of those 1yr legacy contracts. 🙉

I’ve come to one conclusion……Miles Tice Mikolas is no longer a very good pitcher. I unequivocally agree with Scraps…….DFA him before the crack of dawn tomorrow!

The Brewers win their 5th consecutive game and now seem to be taking command in the NLC with a 4 game lead over the Cubs. Meanwhile, over in the AL the Red Sox have won 7 in a row and look to be serious about making a grab for the ALE. In any event, there’s still plenty of good Big League baseball outside of StL. Maybe Willie Jr. will catch on to that concept.

Sure they could. Who would you replace him with in AAA? The options aren’t exactly great. Roby is on the 40 man but injured, Wilkerson has pitched well since being picked up but he’s 36. You could add someone to the 40 man but whom is worthy?

Rich Hill is out there. Lol

Comes back from the 3-0 to set down Freddie only to have Muncy do the dirty work. Good teams have genuine threats all across the board.

In fairness to Mikolas that second home run by Mundy was a bit high, but it was barelytouching the outside corner of the plate. It was a tough ball to hit and Mundy hit it. I do get the impression that Mikoldas is another player who is just running out the clock while he collects his nearly 3M$ a month. Almost all of the other Cardinals players play like they really want to show what they’ve got and win.

Most of them are showing what they’ve got won’t win anything. The rest of them look like they’d be happy to just pack it in and go home. Arenado already has.

And now Hernandez with a 3-run bomb and this one is over.

9-3 Doyers in the last of the 7th.

Ryan Fernandez has been working hard to take himself off the map.

I loved seeing Fernandez doing what he does best. Adding Kerosene to the fire!

Pozo might be back in 2026. I wonder how good he would be if he got liposuction during the offseason.
