“We should leave Pozo in there and see what happens” – Bling
Ok, but what has already happened in Pozo’s 21 GS this season?
Walk-ons don’t catch aces. Pozo has never caught Gray. This is the “blinders on” approach from management that writes a script and follows it. For the season, Gray has allowed a .718 ops with our other catchers.
In 10 games with Pozo/Libby, a .711 ops allowed.
In 3 games with Pozo/Pallante, a .712 ops allowed.
In 8 games with Pozo/Mikolas, a .711 ops allowed.
Going forward matters only so much for Pozo. 21 GS during 105 games is a very limited look.
JJ – The home thing has definitely been a consistent theme this year. They seem to score more runs, pitch better, and just are overall more fun to watch when they have played at Busch vs on the road.
