I dont have a problem with rose, jackson being unbanned. Once upon a time i did, but seeing how baseball has just fell in love with gambling and the dollars attached, its fine. Same way i feel about the cheaters. Rose played the game the way its supposed to be played. He may otherwise be a crappy person but i dont care about that.

Without having access to all the facts – my impression on Jackson is that he didn’t participate in throwing that series. Maybe he knew something was up and just kept his mouth shut and maybe that’s because he didn’t want to end up dead.

.375 batting average with 12 hits, 6 RBIs, 1 home run, and 0 errors.
Sure there are ways to sandbag that don’t really show up in your stat line BUT do we really think he was ‘in on it’?
I wonder when some college player is going to try maxing his NIL by adopting a wrestling style alter ego. Then it bleeds into pro sports.
Pete Rose bet on baseball when he knew that the only rule was, You Don’t Bet On Baseball. Add in the fact that he dated and screwed a 14 year old little girl while his wife had his baby, and then was nasty toward her when it was brought up, I’m not friendly toward him. Add Trump to the mix, I’m out.
And the word around the campire is that Acuna Jr. has signed on to a lucrative sponsorship/endorsement deal with Kalshi. Oh well, Willie Jr. and his young sprout are also in on the betting action…Haha!
Edit…I should have mentioned that Acuna went 2 for 15 with no RBI’s and a .133 BA vs. the Dodgers in the NLDS…I wonder what Brave’s fans may be thinking?
