May 25, 2022 at 12:11 am #186178Interesting stat of the day. Peoria pitchers retired 28 consecutive batters. Peoria still lost 6-4 though.

ParticipantTwo very interesting pitchers going today…. Mills and Hence. Keep an eye on both of these young guys.
May 26, 2022 at 6:07 am #186248The #STLCards system was 1-2 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, RF Delvin Perez, drove in the deciding runs on a two-run double in Springfield’s comeback win. ParticipantLove the summaries and probables. Would like to see names added to pictures. Thanks Brian.
May 26, 2022 at 8:05 am #186258You are welcome. If you notice the (p) behind one of the pitcher’s names on the probables list, that is who the photo is of. As in (pictured) but Twitter has a character limitation so I have to abbreviate to make it all fit.
For the Tweets of the Notebooks with the game recaps, the lead photo is always of the Player of the Day. All photos in the Notebooks themselves are identified by name.
The same probable pitchers info for the next day is in the daily Notebooks. I just pull it out to make it easier for those who don’t read the details.
May 26, 2022 at 9:26 pm #186313McGreevy’s Springfield debut wasn’t so hot. He allowed 10 hits, 6 earned runs, 2 walks, 2 Ks and 3 HR allowed. He’ll get his feet under him eventually.
May 27, 2022 at 7:41 am #186330The #STLCards system went 2-3 on Thursday with wins by Memphis and Palm Beach. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Alec Burleson, had a walkoff home run and four RBI for Memphis. Other standouts: Masyn Winn, John Beller and Osvaldo Tovalin. May 27, 2022 at 8:09 am #186331RHP T.J. Zeuch, who struggled in the Memphis rotation and lost his 40-man roster spot when Matthew Liberatore was promoted, has been released by the #STLCards. pic.twitter.com/YNuijurIta

May 27, 2022 at 8:09 am #186332Friday's #STLCards minors starters:

Spr at Tul (2): RH Gordon Graceffo (AA debut) (p) / TBA
Peo vs LC: RH Dionys Rodriguez (0-4, 4.54)

May 27, 2022 at 9:14 am #186338Seemed only a matter of time before Zeuch was cut. As mentioned previously, he raised the entire Memphis team’s ERA by .6 runs alone. I wish him well in his future endeavors, likely outside baseball. The guy is a top talent in the game even if he wasn’t able to make it to the big leagues and stay.
May 27, 2022 at 9:33 am #186341I guess Delvin Perez is now a utility guy defensively. That is good but it still appears he won’t hit enough to make it to the big leagues. It is very doubtful he will receive a 40 man spot this year so he could very well be in a different organization next season.
May 28, 2022 at 7:57 am #186425The #STLCards system was 2-2 on Friday with Springfield splitting two and Palm Beach postponed. The Cardinal Nation’s Players of the Day are CF Scott Hurst, who was 2-for-4 with two RBI and DH Ben DeLuzio, who hit a grand slam in Memphis’ win. May 28, 2022 at 8:07 am #186427Those ERAs are scarey.
May 29, 2022 at 6:18 am #186486The #stlcards system went 3-2 on Saturday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is once again Memphis LF Alec Burleson, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a steal. May 29, 2022 at 6:28 am #186488With Burleson, Donovan and Gorman, Dickerson has to be feeling like he’s gotta pick it right up or he’s gonna be hitting the road.
May 29, 2022 at 7:07 am #186490What happened to Oviedo? He looked great at times last year.
May 29, 2022 at 9:49 pm #186532Watching the Springfield game tonight and have been amazed by the arm of Masyn Winn! He has made some great throws from short. I knew he was also a pitcher but he showed me something tonight! Hit well tonight, too! (3 for 5 in the top of the ninth with two doubles!)
May 30, 2022 at 7:13 am #186543The #STLCards system went 3-1 on Sunday. Back together again, Springfield’s Masyn Winn and Jordan Walker went a combined 5-for-8 including three doubles, walked four times, stole a base, drove in two and scored four runs. ParticipantWinn is too good to be only 20 years old. He’s a kid that can truly live up to his billing. ETA… the sooner the better.
With McGreevy Graceffo (+ Loutos) moving up to Springfield, there is a huge strain on the Chief’s bullpen. The addition of Dalatri and Granillo from PB is providing some relief.
