Memphis and Peoria have a chance to be good. Springfield and Palm Beach will probably not be good.

Watching Mcgrrevy pitch for the first time. He has a low 90s fastball, with a nice curve and slider/cutter. As advertised he throws lots of strikes

Antonini and Jew have homered. Peoria up 3-0.

Keeps an eye on Elijah Cabell at Palm Beach. If he gets 450 AB’s he probably hits 30 home runs. Probably k’s 100+ times as well. I dont know if he will ever make enough contact tô make it tô the majors but as a minor leaguer he is going tô be fun tô watch.

Springfield’s offense is really good. The only problem is their pitching is trash. They’ve given up 22 runs in 2 games. The starters have looked ok/decent but the relievers truly suck.

McGreevy had a really nice outing…5 innings, 0 hits, 1 walk and 5 Ks. It would be good to see one of our starters make good progress.

Lots of offense everywhere else and not much pitching success. Burleson would have had a case for another POTD, but I’d guess it’s Pinder going 5-6 with 5 RBI.

Looks for André Granillo tô get a quick promotion tô Peoria. Pretty dominant at PB least year and starting out strong there again

Pinder on fire. 5-6 yesterday. 4-4 so far today.

Not clear what the Cards see in Lehy.

He all but skipped high A due to the lost 2020 season. Maybe they followed the Zach Thompson strategy with him. Let him get his brains beaten out all the 2021 season and hope for better in 2022.

If you live within 3 hours of Springfield and haven’t been I highly recommend. Is a nice facility and a good time every time I have gone over the years. Fun watching the young ones get their feet wet. Especially when there is someone like Reyes rehabbing and making the hitters look like star struck Little Leaguers. Dollar Hot Dog’s and Brats are now 2 dollars and the same night. Still a treat. Who doesn’t like a half raw brat. Gonna have to tie in a side trip to Memphis next time I see see a game alone in St Louis.

Moises Gomez is making a name for himself with 6 homers and 2 doubles in 6 games played.

At this early part of the minor league season, GRaceffo and Mcgreevy might be promotion candidates going to Springfield. with relievers Granillo and Marrero going to Peoria. Also Gerard has piled up quite a few strikeouts early on.

What a wild game in Peoria. The game featured 2 ejections, a truck and trailer on the field hat delayed the game 5 minutes, substitution delays, and much more. The 11th inning went as follows, ghost runner at second, walk, walk, double, walk, hit by pitch allowing 3 runs to score for the visitors. The score is 5-2, and the game is lost, right? WRONG. In the bottom of the 11th Peoria started with the ghost runner followed by walk, strikeout, error, walk, walk, hit by pitch, game winning sac fly by Antonini. So 7 runs were scored by both teams, with only 1 hit. One of the craziest games I have EVER seen.
