I am guessing Parsons is holding Mcgreevy’s future rotation spot at Memphis until he is ready for AAA. Another missing pitcher is Davila. I hope he returns soon.

Anyone know why Darlin Moquette was removed from the Palm Beach game last night?

Speaking of Moquete, any idea how the transition to infield has gone? Without looking it up, I wouldn’t think he’d have a ton of runway left to develop into anything, for us at least.

Hjerpe is having a rough intro to pro level game competition. Sky high K rate, but control problems and getting hit around pretty hard. As a first rounder from a PAC-12 school the placement shouldn’t be too aggressive with the current minors set up. He had last year at the complex to smooth out the wrinkles. Hopefully he settles down.

I checked Memphis box score to see if DeJong reappeared and he did. I noticed the bad guys stole 3 bags off Herrera.

Rajcic, Mautz, and Hansen have all pitched well through 2 starts for the Beach Birds. They could all be in Peoria before long. Even Edwin Nunez has thrown 4 perfect innings with 6 Ks. Has he figured things out?

Or maybe Hjerpe’s rough start with Peoria will give them pause…

You’d have to really cut a swath through Peoria’s starters to make room.

I eventually see a mid season promotion for Liberatore and Mcgreevy. Plus, Springfields starting rotation is terrible, and could use upgrades from Peoria. That, plus injuries would open up spots in Peoria. I also wonder what their plan is for Bedell. Is it to gradually build his pitch count up and start?
