Attention Oli: Please observe what Victor Scott brings to the table in this top half of inning #5. Now do you really want him mired down in the 8 hole instead of leading off?
March 28, 2024 at 4:34 pm #245281Victor with a little hippty-hop-to-the-barber-shop on that third out catch.
March 28, 2024 at 4:44 pm #245282Looks like a 4 run deficit may prove too much for the Cardinals to overcome. Goldschmidt with 2 hits and a blank for the remainder of the line-up.
March 28, 2024 at 4:46 pm #245283That may put it out of reach. Deathball in the 6th…

March 28, 2024 at 4:49 pm #245285Haha!…The Redbird manager?
March 28, 2024 at 4:50 pm #245286Let’s hope not
March 28, 2024 at 4:51 pm #245287We’ll have to get ’em tomorrow…
March 28, 2024 at 4:55 pm #245288you have to take that HBP, Burleson. That’s a foot inside, and he swings.
March 28, 2024 at 4:56 pm #245289Good to see the great Sandy Koufax at Dodger Stadium. Seems like we never beat him back in his prime, but a class act.
March 28, 2024 at 4:56 pm #245290Thank God we have Goldschmidt! The rest of these guys seem kinda over matched!
March 28, 2024 at 4:59 pm #245291Betts with one of those big chains. Man, I could never wear stuff like that playing sports. Wanted nothing to interfere with making a quick move.
O’Reilly throws everything up and in to Betts and loses him. And now way inside to Ohtani.
March 28, 2024 at 5:02 pm #245292How about that! O’B strikes out OH!!
March 28, 2024 at 5:04 pm #245293“Thank God we have Goldschmidt! The rest of these guys seem kinda over matched!“
And even Goldy did in his third AB. You know what they say, “..third time through the order…😀
March 28, 2024 at 5:07 pm #245294I have a feeling the Dodgers will do this a lot this season.
March 28, 2024 at 5:08 pm #245295The Cardinals can take solace in knowing that some teams aren’t as good as the Dodgers. This game is men vs. boys.
March 28, 2024 at 5:11 pm #245296LA signs Ohtani and Glasnow. We sign Lynn and Gibson, and can’t even bring Montgomery back.
Ah, that beach scene reminds me of my younger days living in the LA area for a couple of years.
March 28, 2024 at 5:13 pm #245297Not to worry. We’ll get off the proverbial schneid tomorrow, gang.
March 28, 2024 at 5:20 pm #245298
stlcard25ParticipantGlasnow was what he always is, even healthy…good. We needed to have a good game with the bats to have a shot, and we didn’t get that. 0-1 against LA isn’t shameful, but it’s hard to see how the Cards could come close to matching up with LA if they were in the same division.
March 28, 2024 at 5:20 pm #245299And if we don’t, remember the ‘85 club started 0-4, but ended – well, we won’t talk about how they ended. But they won over 100 games.
March 28, 2024 at 5:24 pm #245300Yeah, but which manager do you want? 1985 or 2024? I’m taking 1985 all day and a million times on Sunday.
March 28, 2024 at 5:25 pm #245301Nice inning for Libby. Course he did not face murderer’s row.
March 28, 2024 at 5:27 pm #245302March 28, 2024 at 5:31 pm #245303Like how Roberts is staying with the one bullpen guy rather than burning through several guys for one inning each. Why burn up your pen with a 6 run lead? Seems most modern day managers don’t do that.
March 28, 2024 at 5:35 pm #245304Goldy 3 hits. Everyone else oh-fer. A team loss – little offense, poor pitching.
