Attention Oli: Please observe what Victor Scott brings to the table in this top half of inning #5. Now do you really want him mired down in the 8 hole instead of leading off?

The Cardinals can take solace in knowing that some teams aren’t as good as the Dodgers. This game is men vs. boys.
LA signs Ohtani and Glasnow. We sign Lynn and Gibson, and can’t even bring Montgomery back.
Ah, that beach scene reminds me of my younger days living in the LA area for a couple of years.
Glasnow was what he always is, even healthy…good. We needed to have a good game with the bats to have a shot, and we didn’t get that. 0-1 against LA isn’t shameful, but it’s hard to see how the Cards could come close to matching up with LA if they were in the same division.
And if we don’t, remember the ‘85 club started 0-4, but ended – well, we won’t talk about how they ended. But they won over 100 games.
Yeah, but which manager do you want? 1985 or 2024? I’m taking 1985 all day and a million times on Sunday.
Like how Roberts is staying with the one bullpen guy rather than burning through several guys for one inning each. Why burn up your pen with a 6 run lead? Seems most modern day managers don’t do that.
