Each club’s in-market, direct-to-consumer streaming option delivers all local games to subscribers located anywhere in the club’s home territory, removing local blackouts. Information on cable and satellite providers, including specific channel locations, will be announced at a later date.

    Question about Cardinals.tv

Will there be anything else on that stream when there is no game?

Successfully signed up for $99.99. Looks like I cannot get the MLB app on my Visio TV unless I use my Amazon Firestick. I do have the MLB app on my PlayStation so will probably use it to watch games on my TV.

I also just signed up for the Cardinals TV package and got the MLB app loaded on my phone. Tonight I will download the MLB app on my Apple TV.

It is my understanding that next year the in-market streaming can be done on the ESPN app but this year ESPN is only doing the out of market streaming.

T-Mobile will offer MLB TV again for free. You can sign up for it in March.

Im still a little confused. So as i live in the cardinals market, i have to pay for the mlb tv package plus the cardinals tv package to watch all the games outside of specially marked games like apple tv or whatever. I at first thought the cardinal tv included all their games but seems like it may just be in market games. Can anyone clarify

If you live in the Cardinals market and only want to watch the Cardinals then you only have to buy the Cardinals TV package through the MLB app.

If you want to watch all 30 teams then you would have to buy the Cardinals TV package and the full MLB TV package.

Gscottar, but ive read different things. One says the cardinals tv is only for in market cardinal games meaning i wouldnt get their away games, i would have to subscribe as well to mlb.tv. others dont really mention it, says 99 dollars for cardinal games. Seems it could be nore clear. 100 dollars for all cardinal games seems pretty good or at least decent. 200 dollars is a luttle less reasonable.

It is my understanding that if you are in market the $99 will get you all of the Cardinals games except those on national broadcasts via NBC, Fox, ESPN, Apple, etc.
Basically the same games you would be getting if FanDuel Sports was still the provider.

Osuagec i think you may be right. At least google says so. I wish the sites would be more clear. They say locally produced, which i was thinking meant just home games. It would be better to just say all games home n away except national or streaming sites like apple, netflix, etc. That makes more sense. I appreciate you and gscottar.

I’m just hoping and praying the DirecTV Extra Innings package will get me both Cardinal games and all the rest of MLB as well. LUV staying up late at night and watching those games from the west coast!

If you live in the Cardinal market I am pretty sure the $99 will get you all of the Cardinal games, both home and away.

If a person lives outside the Cardinal market then they would need the MLB TV subscription.

Yea brian i did more research and you are def right. I just feel the wording could be better on these sites. When it says locally produced games, home games seem to match that.

I just checked the DirecTV website. The MLB Xtra Innings package is still on their website. That’s a good thing. Not sure what I would do if I couldn’t get late games from the west coast.

Hopefully Whitey Herdog will still be on the couch with me watching those games..:)

Have they announced the cable coverage yet? I had DirevTV Stream and watched on Fan Duel, but shortly after the season was able to get more and pay much less switching to Spectrum, which still carried Fan Duel. But now that doesn’t matter. I’d really like to not have to buy the Cardinals.tv and just watch them the same way I’ve been paying to watch them for 20 years and not have to pay more on top of my Spectrum I already pay for. I know I saw something about Spectrum having “Matrix Midwest” but it also said select coverage.

I checked my DirecTV for this afternoon. The Reds play Cleveland. It appears that the game is being shown on a Cincinnati station but it appears to be blacked out. The Reds, Cards, Cubs, and WhiteSox are the four teams I typically get that are in my area.

I will check it again at game time but I assume this is bad news.

Yeah Rat, just south of you here in the Evansville area and normally would get FD Indiana which carried the Cardinals and FD Ohio which carried the Reds. Occasionally FD Indiana extra would have the Royals on, but not very often.

    Satellite/Cable Viewing Options FAQ

Can I still watch Cardinals games through my satellite or cable provider?
Yes. Cardinals.TV will be available on a variety of cable and satellite providers. Specific providers and channel locations will be announced closer to the start of the season.

Found this, but no specifics yet.

Ok, let me clarify. Guess I was mistaken.

The Cleveland and Reds game today is NOT being carried by a Reds broadcast. What I saw was the Cleveland broadcast. Which I cannot get.

However, I can see today both the Cubs and WhiteSox game as usual.

Maybe they will start offering ‘protection’ for downtown businesses.
