It’s good to see Roby and Elissalt doing pretty much what they should do against lower level competition in Arizona. I look at these as rehab assignments. It doesn’t change their standing a whole lot for me from where I had them prior to the AFL, but it doesn’t hurt them at least.

Was the game shortened due to weather I guess?

Roby and Peete both have been great. Hopefully, they can start next season healthy. It’ll be a shame if Robys status is affected by a work stoppage. I wonder if the players and owners could make exceptions for players who were injured most or all of last year.

I am thinking the plan now is for Ellisalt to be a reliever. Much like Dohm, he was projected as a future reliever.

    Per Rob Rains newsletter:

As far as the Arizona Fall League goes and the Cardinals players involved, pitcher Tekoah Roby had another good game yesterday. I talked to him and he said it will be his last outing in Arizona as he will be returning home early.

As far as Watson goes, I think he could be valuable if he can down on his walks. He didn’t handle AA very well this year. Lefties are always more valuable.

Peete had another strong game. Doubled and tripled. Too bad Roby is being sent home.

I think they’ve shown what they need to with him, and he passed the test with flying colors. Hopefully he can stay healthy over the winter and contribute to the big league club in 2027.
