    Some years ago I remember Mo complaining about the outfield defense and somebody pointed out they made very few errors. His response was we catch it when they hit it to us.

    Once upon a time, Mozeliak said the Cardinals would return to pitching and defense. That lasted about one season. Then, we returned to having guys like Walker & Burleson in the outfield.

    Just an FYI, Fangraphs switched to OAA back in 2022.

    I’m aware of that, at least for their defensive ratings. I believe FG may have been the only mainstream site that UZR was available on for a long time, though. I could be wrong, of course.

    Interesting choice on Hence. I’d imagine his injuries kept him at Springfield long enough to get the honor. He probably would have been at Memphis if he’d gotten to 120ish innings as scheduled.
