I watched a couple of replays of that entire 9th inning Contreras PA and I’m convinced that a couple of the Redbird SP’ers should consult with him concerning the fine art of gamesmanship…
Contreras had some good comments in the post game interview. Knew exactly what he was doing, all within the pitch clock rules, and no attempt to disrespect the pitcher. But, yes, he baited Jansen without directly challenging him. That was an artful plate appearance and something I would have expected from Yadi. Maybe they talked?
Sadly, I missed the comeback and anything that happened in the ninth. Lady bling is the center of attention this weekend, though. Din din was an impressive slab of prime rib, with this and that piled elsewhere on the plate having to be shoved out of the way.
A glorious come from behind win, however it came about.
I missed the whole game/day as the focus was on Mrs Perkins as I work a 12hr shift today and my phone was left lonely on the nightstand all day. Really pleased to read these results and look forward to watching the 9th inning Contreras at bat. MLB had this as a free game so I can fast forward to all (both?) the highlights
