Gotta hope Hicks can translate his recent good performances in low stress situations into something good in high leverage.
And he did just as I typed that.
Yeah, Bikemike, Kershaw’s worth the price of a seat. He throws hard, changes speed, a deceptive wind up with 3 devastating pitches. Good move to first and fields his position. What else is there? Well, he’s a lefty…Haha! It doesn’t get any better.
Way to go Hicks! You and the club needed that strike out. Keyshawn is done, so it is time for the offense to get some runs!
Man, O’Neill is so frustrating. Great speed and power, but just not good at plate discipline. Swings at a lot of stuff out of the zone and can’t discern the borderline pitches. I really thought he was going to be good, but he just does not do well at pitch selection.
Hicks looking good lately. Not so much Tyler O’Neil. Three called strikes down by one in the top of the 8th. Gotta do better than that!

Cardinals have been in some really well played games, but invariably lose them. We will see if that holds tonight.

Arenado had a pitch to hit on 0-1 and let it go, then throws the bat at the 0-2 and taps back to the pitcher.
He’s really lost at the plate right now. Looks like his confidence is shot.
And that is it – a 1-0 shutout. Cards cementing themselves in the NLC cellar.
While I like the faith Ollie showed Dylan there, the right move was to pinch hit with Burleson. Ugh. Another L.
