Have the Cardinals ever been 10 games back before May 1st? If not, we may set another club record tonight.
The team will come home. The sea of red will turn out. People will buy $15 beers and Walker Jerseys. Ratings will remain high. Life is good for the leadership of the franchise.
I never do any scoreboard watching prior to the middle of September, except if I’m interested in a specific player.
We can’t seem to put together two good games in a row. We need to win a few in a row to get out of this funkThe Cards really need a good outing by a starter. Hoping Montgomery can give us six innings giving up three runs or less.
Although the Cardinals have always done comparatively well vs. Kershaw, when you see him wind up and come to the plate, you think to yourself, “we don’t have a chance against this guy.” He sure does look good out on the mound when he works.
Surely this funk will end.
It may be too late for the division already but with 3 WC spots all you have to do is get a few games over .500.
Montgomery going well, but Kershaw has been a little better.
Loved Chip bringing out the “Holy Cow!” after the catch by Carlson. As some of us have been saying, he needs to be in there every day.
Man, Kershaw real impressive. The veteran southpaw showing how it’s done. I hope Wainwright still has some of that left when he returns.
We are really struggling, but not as bad as the White Sox. They should be a pretty good club, but are an abysmal 7-21.

Montgomery better get out of this, as Hicks is warming up. Almost a guaranteed way to put the game out of reach is to bring Hicks in.
Hicks on. Watch out for the wild pitch, then a two-run single to effectively close the door on a comeback chance.
