Burleson out, Carlson in. Fouled one off his shin.

    Another bases loaded opportunity wasted.

That 1 out bases jammed AB by Eddie was pretty bad. I would have liked to have seen him take a pitch or two. I’m aware it’s after the fact, but first pitch swinging and the comebacker GIDP was enough to make me say bad words. Loudly…

The Nootz ties it up with the 2 run tater!

Not getting to watch but hoping we can pull out a split in this series. To lose 3 out of 4 to these guys is not the way to play at home.

I see they’ve got Walker using pine tar in a spray can. Gawd. Somebody have a talk with the kid before its too late.

Contreras ripped one into the corner earlier. That was good to see.

Yeah Bling, that may have been the hardest hit baseball I’ve seen from Contreras in a Cardinal uniform. And I’d rather see Walker alter the ozone layer with towering taters than the aerosol tar stuff…Haha!

Carlson with a floater to 3rd. Next.

Caray said Holderman has been throwing aspirin tablets. Hadn’t heard that one in a while. Remember decades ago a little league coach saying that a lot. Anyway, Goldy and Arenado have taken those aspirin tablets to give the Cards runners on 2B & 3B with no outs in the 8th, game tied. Now Contreras with a bad K. Gorman up next.

I’ve expressed some serious criticism towards the Redbird manager and I feel most of it’s entirely warranted, but in all fairness, most areas of his team hasn’t made it easy on him thus far in ’23. Sometimes his players have to bail him out every now and again. Baserunners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs and can’t push a solitary run across is a glaring example of his players failing to do so.

Runners on 2B and 3B no outs, then Contreras and Gorman whiff and Walker flies out. Not good, boys.

Once again, unable to seize the opportunity.

Intentional BB to Noot, to get to Walker. That’s another team judging our players, late in a tie game.

Yeah, that was horrible, Euro. Normally when I see 2nd and 3rd with no outs, I’m thinking we score 6…Haha!

I’m surprised the righty didn’t just feed Walker sliders out of the zone and let him wave at them.

Carlson ripping at all those pitches at or above the letters. You almost knew what the result would be. Hard for a LH’ed hitter to get on top of those.

Their guys didn’t whiff with a runner in scoring position and less than 2 outs. That’s probably the way to do it.

Gorman hit that baseball like he was mad at it.

Gorman had a chance to redeem himself and ties it with a ground rule double. Winning run now on 3B. Noot is intentionally walked and Walker is up with bases loaded and one out. Pittsburgh going with 5 infielders.
