Edman can’t pull the trigger. Wasted Burlys lead off double. Not gonna get sprinkles like that. Sprinkles are for Winners!

Burly leads off the 5th with a double and nobody could even advance him. Walker could have moved him to third with less than two outs hitting it to the right side, but it was obvious watching him that was the farthest thing from his mind. Guys just go up hacking without any thought to game situation.

Yeah Bling moving a runners a major accomplishment. Gorman and Nooty are really coming along. Starting to see a few guys emerge now.

Dang Nados hit 3 really deep now. Goldy needs to get busy now. Better to play ahead than behind!

I think Walker will eventually be okay, but to this point you can’t help but to notice that when he gets way behind in the count, these Big League pitchers know what to do with him and it’s been my impression that he knows they’re going to try to get him to chase that down and away slider off the plate from a RH’er and he still can’t lay off or somehow fight that pitch off.

Mikolas throws a meatball with runner on base no outs. That’ll fool. ’em!

Mikolas comes through-hes still our best. Yes 1TD it looks to me like hes really got the goods. I hope he wasn’t rushed into play too quick. Hard I’m sure to jump into major league pitching but hes definitely got power too. Good time for him to grow things being what they are. Nice soft spoken guy too. Really like him.

Good try by Edman to make something happen. Coulda worked with a run and hit play. Remember those?

That may be the only baseball I’ve ever seen Gorman hit to the warning track. Normally anything he hits with even decent contact leaves the field of play.

Why try to steal when the pitcher can’t find the plate? We would have had runners on first and second with no one out when the next batter walked.

Missed the Edman steal Cranny-saw it on replay. Never see hit and run from us anymore. Too complex? Yeah 1TD and Nados been hitting deep too. Their pitchers got something going in with how hard they throw. Keeping it in the park I guess.

Walker really needs to shorten his swing. Good pitching just carves him up.

Giving up 12 hits no wonder – so maybe do better tomorrow. Go Cardinals!

Looks to me like his swing is slow Bling now that you mention it. Trying to drag his bat through the strike zone?

Down by two in the ninth we need a baserunner. Walker looking like a windmill up there trying to hit it into the Gulf. Like earlier in the game, he doesn’t seem to have any situational awareness. He’s a rookie, so I consider that a coaching failure. Somebody needs to tell him if he is not smart enough to figure it out.

Also, Goldshmidt looked bad at the plate again. Looks overmatched. Hope he snaps out of it by next spring.

Oli’s explanation is he didn’t want Miles to face Diaz for the forth time.

    FYI here,

Front Row Amy is in attendance tonight at the Colorado and Milwaukee game at Miller Park. At least the day isn’t a total loss.

Plus the Reds lost to Miami 3-2 at Riverfront Stadium.

The Cubs lead the Mets 3-2 in the 8th at Shea Stadium.

The Pirates lead the Braves 6-5 in the bottom of the 7th at Three Rivers Stadium.
