My thinking is yes and it would sill be a scoreless game.
They’re idiots if they think this is not going to happen regularly with Burleson or Yepez in the field. I was hoping Burleson would commit to fitness during the off season. There might be some athleticism hidden underneath his abundant adipose layer.
Yeah, it looked like he panicked a little and got spun around. Maybe an OF’er who’s confident he can accelerate to the spot simply turns and burns, so to speak.
Turns and burns, just like a fighter pilot. I like that, so let me use it in a sentence. Carlson woulda turned and burned and caught it in his hip pocket.
Yeah Euro, Carlson almost always looks nice and smooth out there in the OF. A guy that I always thought had the most graceful looking gate I’d ever seen was Devon White. He took on the look of a gazelle whether he was running down a fly ball or simply trotting on in to the Blue Jay’s dugout after a final out of an inning. He possessed exceptional speed, but you hardly noticed because it looked effortless.
Burleson is the slowest, worst outfielder in the league. All other outfielders catch that ball. Should be a 1-1 game.
Wood has pitched pretty well this gameOMG, did you see that one that just went over O’Neill’s head. That was the equivalent of the rounding third at half speed play. Good grief.
I hadn’t at all foreseen the issue, but the play in the OF has been horrendous at all 3 positions to this point.
Well I thought overall Woodford pitched well. Defense could have helped him out a little. He’s not a shutout pitcher but generally he will keep you in most games. Not going to win too many scoring one run so offense needs to get going
Well I don’t consider O’Neil a center fielder and the other guys you can barely call outfielders. But that’s the chance you take with going for offense over defense. Though that offense hasn’t shown up yet
Well this game has gotten away from us here. I’m going to give more blame to the offense today though our relief has struggled a lot. Maybe a different experience if we had gotten a couple big hits and it was tied. As is the brewers hitters just feel like they are playing with house money when they go hit.
