Goldy home run #24 slices the Cincinnati lead to 6-3 here in the 6th.
July 24, 2022 at 2:31 pm #192373Packy Naughton can flat out pitch. I want him extended …and extended before sunrise tomorrow.
July 24, 2022 at 2:37 pm #192374Now is the moment for somebody not named Goldy to show some offense.
July 24, 2022 at 2:38 pm #192375Looks like someone literally stole 2nd base.
July 24, 2022 at 2:39 pm #192376Bling by middle of the lineup you mean Goldy right. He has our only hits. Need others to step up. Our Pitching and hitting need help. Maybe this is the inning.
July 24, 2022 at 2:42 pm #192377Edman may have a homer here, as it’s under review.
Confirmed to be just inches foul.
July 24, 2022 at 2:48 pm #192378With the sea of red in the crowd, coupled with how boisterous the fans are in St. Louis’favor, one would think this was a Cardinals home game. Now if they could only start playing like it.

jj-cf-stlParticipantMikolas with a GmSc of 35
July 24, 2022 at 2:53 pm #192380Two Birds on the base paths with the tying run at the plate are totally whipped out on a Knizner twin killing. Still 6-3 Reds as we mozzy along to the bottom of inning #7. This automatic out from the catching position is really hurting this ball club.

ParticipantGmSc? Lol.
July 24, 2022 at 3:02 pm #192382Naille is on. Hope he doesn’t get himself here.
July 24, 2022 at 3:07 pm #192383
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe catching position, this season and going forward, is a front burner topic Pugs.
July 24, 2022 at 3:24 pm #192384It sure is, JJ. There has to be a decent veteran receiver coming our way before the deadline. Yadi is retired as far as I’m concerned. I don’t think anyone here is giving up on Herrera, it’s just that we don’t have a couple of years to wait for him to blossom.
July 24, 2022 at 3:27 pm #192385And it’s another sad day in Birdville. Sigh!
July 24, 2022 at 3:28 pm #192386Well look at the bright side……the Phillies got swept by the Cubs this weekend. Those sure are words that I’ve spoken often over the last 40 years.

ParticipantSad performance today. And now going to Toronto without our two best players. Frustrating.
July 24, 2022 at 3:29 pm #192388Three hits against the Reds! Good grief. We may never win again.
July 24, 2022 at 3:32 pm #192389Mo’s shopping list should be a rotation and a starting lineup. Get on it Mo. No low hanging fruits.
July 24, 2022 at 3:33 pm #192390Hey, what’s Matt Wieters doing these days? Maybe he can be coaxed out of retirement.
July 24, 2022 at 3:36 pm #192391
jj-cf-stlParticipant3-24 W/L record when allowing 6 runs or more, a .111 win %.
For 22′, Stl has allowed 6 runs or more in 28% of games played.
July 24, 2022 at 3:38 pm #192392No better than Romine and Knizner have been doing I would be letting Hererra get more time. He can’t hurt them anymore than this. Of those three he is the one that has a shot to become the replacement.
July 24, 2022 at 3:55 pm #192394Al mixing up Ron Burgundy with Ron Jeremy. Priceless.
July 24, 2022 at 3:55 pm #192395Knizner’s line for July.256/.324/.294/.618
Edman’s line for July ..211/.260/.281/.541.
Gorman’s line for July..184/.310/.388/.698July 24, 2022 at 4:26 pm #1923971982 willie
ParticipantThere are a lot of holes in this lineup at least a lot of the time. Our pitching wasn’t great today either, starting wise.
July 24, 2022 at 4:51 pm #192399#STLCards LHP Steven Matz has a torn MCL in his left knee. He might not have to have surgery, but he will likely be on the shelf for several weeks.
