Need to remember to put the stopwatch on O’Neill’s HR trot one of these games.

It’s only fun if we win. Matz needs to quit putting meat over the plate and hit the corners.

Just tuning in. Looks pretty good till we get to the last three in our lineup. They need to get in the game at the plate.

Well I hope all these runners left on don’t come back to hurt us.

Sure would like to see a few more of these baserunners score.

Sosa has looked awful in three Ks, but did get a hit. That lack of plate discipline probably gets him more bench time. Just can’t see it or trying too hard.

Matz down. Hopefully no time missed. Rolled it in a bit. Pitched well tonight.

Well that’s the last thing we needed to happen. Matz going after a chopper by votto gets injured and has to come out. Should have let that one go but hard to argue effort. Just bad luck

Matz rolled his ankle. He’ll likely miss a start if I had to guess.

That is unfortunate. Other than the 3rd he’d been doing ok.

Fun fact: Goldy and Pujols currently have the same career ops+ (144).

Of course Albert has played thru his decline seasons and Goldy hasn’t.

Fernandez a nice pitch to end the threat. Six doubles tonight. Albert, Carlson, Sosa, Edman, and Arenado two. You would think we would have more runs. Lot of baseball left tonight.

Getting close to time to try bringing Hererra back. Knizner and Romine aren’t hitting a lick.

It’s the Catcher and backup minf spots. They can’t all ops .700 in limited duty.

They’d dump Romine before AK. They aren’t dumping Sosa no matter how much you want it.

Whats with all these Albert ground outs? Arms tired from Dinger Derby? Gino did good last inning after the walk.

Wooster, Albert is in a HGBR funk tonight. That’s high ground ball rate funk for those that don’t have their cheat sheets handy.

jj, are those stats cumulative for the catcher position? 😉 If it worked that way, those four would combine to make a decent catcher.

Not to be a black cat but we have a dominant closer now.
