Need to remember to put the stopwatch on O’Neill’s HR trot one of these games.
July 23, 2022 at 7:02 pm #192270It’s only fun if we win. Matz needs to quit putting meat over the plate and hit the corners.
July 23, 2022 at 7:02 pm #192271
jj-cf-stlParticipantTyler getting results in the 2spot
July 23, 2022 at 7:06 pm #192272Just tuning in. Looks pretty good till we get to the last three in our lineup. They need to get in the game at the plate.
July 23, 2022 at 7:16 pm #192273Sosa with a lead off double.
July 23, 2022 at 7:22 pm #1922741982 willie
ParticipantWell I hope all these runners left on don’t come back to hurt us.
July 23, 2022 at 7:22 pm #192275Sure would like to see a few more of these baserunners score.
July 23, 2022 at 7:28 pm #1922761982 willie
ParticipantNice strong inning for matz. Looking good coming back.
July 23, 2022 at 7:38 pm #192278Nice double by Sosa. he and Carlson left on. They keep stranding each other it will come back to haunt them.
July 23, 2022 at 7:42 pm #192279Sosa has looked awful in three Ks, but did get a hit. That lack of plate discipline probably gets him more bench time. Just can’t see it or trying too hard.
July 23, 2022 at 7:42 pm #192280Ecstasy plus in the gscottar house tonight!
July 23, 2022 at 7:46 pm #192281Matz down. Hopefully no time missed. Rolled it in a bit. Pitched well tonight.
July 23, 2022 at 7:47 pm #1922821982 willie
ParticipantWell that’s the last thing we needed to happen. Matz going after a chopper by votto gets injured and has to come out. Should have let that one go but hard to argue effort. Just bad luck
July 23, 2022 at 7:47 pm #192283Matz rolled his ankle. He’ll likely miss a start if I had to guess.
That is unfortunate. Other than the 3rd he’d been doing ok.
July 23, 2022 at 7:54 pm #192285
jj-cf-stlParticipantFun fact: Goldy and Pujols currently have the same career ops+ (144).
Of course Albert has played thru his decline seasons and Goldy hasn’t.
July 23, 2022 at 7:55 pm #192286Fernandez a nice pitch to end the threat. Six doubles tonight. Albert, Carlson, Sosa, Edman, and Arenado two. You would think we would have more runs. Lot of baseball left tonight.
July 23, 2022 at 7:57 pm #192287Getting close to time to try bringing Hererra back. Knizner and Romine aren’t hitting a lick.
July 23, 2022 at 7:59 pm #192288
jj-cf-stlParticipantCan Soto catch?
😉July 23, 2022 at 8:02 pm #192289Lol. I got Kiz a hit.
July 23, 2022 at 8:09 pm #192290It’s the Catcher and backup minf spots. They can’t all ops .700 in limited duty.
They’d dump Romine before AK. They aren’t dumping Sosa no matter how much you want it.
July 23, 2022 at 8:13 pm #192291
jj-cf-stlParticipant22′ ops+
Kiz 65
Yadi 49
Romine 3
Herrera -9July 23, 2022 at 8:38 pm #192292Whats with all these Albert ground outs? Arms tired from Dinger Derby? Gino did good last inning after the walk.
July 23, 2022 at 8:48 pm #192293Wooster, Albert is in a HGBR funk tonight. That’s high ground ball rate funk for those that don’t have their cheat sheets handy.
jj, are those stats cumulative for the catcher position? 😉 If it worked that way, those four would combine to make a decent catcher.
July 23, 2022 at 9:08 pm #192294Not to be a black cat but we have a dominant closer now.
July 23, 2022 at 9:09 pm #1922951982 willie
ParticipantThat’s a winner
