This is a game made for McFarland to mop up and he can’t even get that right.

Bring Libby or Naile up for his spot and bring Thompson up for VerHagen and be done with it bowtie. Just admit you aren’t the smartest guy in the room and you made a huge error in signing these chumps!

Dang, Sosa with his usual terrific hustle but slides into the wall behind third. Looks like he will be okay, but is coming out of this one.

Hopefully just a sore wrist. Looked like the hand got caught and jammed in the netting. Walking pretty good.

Oviedo did pretty good overall, could have been worse. Hopefully he comes back out, no use to use other guys unless he gets in trouble.

That was really scary- the way he hit could have easily torn his knee. Oviedo saves the inning of sorts. Poor McFarland-glad he can’t hear us but it is funny with a used to be 7 run lead. Runs to burn and he brings the matches!

Now 11 runs. Noot got into it a bit.

2 steps forward and 2 steps back needs to come to an end.

Feels like the movie Groundhog Day.

My most common lineup for our club right now would go this way:

    Edman, 2b
    Carlson, cf
    Goldschmidt, 1b
    Arenado, 3b
    Donovan, rf
    O’Neill, lf
    Gorman, DH
    Sosa, ss
    Knizner,c

Good defense and athleticism. Reasonable L-R. At their best, the top 8 are really good.

Would occasionally put Gorman in the field and DH someone else. Versus a lefty you might throw Yepez in there as the DH, or Albert. Might occasionally flip Donovan and Carlson. But I think if you throw this lineup out there on a consistent basis you would see things gel into a productive unit.

    Rotation would be:

    Wainwright
    Mikolas
    Hudson
    Liberatore
    Woodford

    Bullpen:
    Helsley
    Thompson
    Gallegos
    Oviedo
    Cabrera
    Hicks
    Pallante
    Fernandez

Agree pretty much with that. Strongest combo of offense/defense.

I absolutely cannot stand Saturday afternoon games.

Hear, hear. I missed another one. Sounds like it was an atypically relaxing 8.5 innings of StL baseball.

Brew crew lose a tough one to the Giants 2-1….Giants get a questionable bases loaded balk in the 8th to score the game winner. Leone strikes out Wong to end the game.
