Thanks guys! I’m from Iowa, about 5 hours from Busch. Unfortunately surrounded by a lot of Cubs and Brewers fans but luckily I was raised the right way! 😁
May 3, 2022 at 9:02 pm #184299Watching on gameday might have chased Keller too doon we just got 2 on. Theyre changing pizchers now!
May 3, 2022 at 9:03 pm #184300Like that stl ducks LOL
May 3, 2022 at 9:03 pm #184301Top of 7. Keller still toeing the rubber for KC.
Albert walks
Knizner pops out to O’Hearn at 1st.
Bader with a soft but sweet single to center…..and Albert will stop his progress at 2nd……and it looks like that will put the finishing touches on Keller’s evening, as his skipper is coming to get him. I’m still waiting for the day when a skipper comes out to take his rookie pitcher out, but the kid keeps dodging away from him so he can stay in the game…..then his teammates finally chase him down and escort him back to the dugout.
Snider the new main man for KC.
And he immediately induces PDJ to rap into the twin killing to extinguish the Cardinal threat
KC 2
STL 0May 3, 2022 at 9:06 pm #184302Dp is not the way to score-jeeez
May 3, 2022 at 9:10 pm #184303Hudson walks the first Royal he faces here in the 7th, and that’ll do it for his evening. Decent pitched game, but unfortunately, he received absolutely zero offensive support. McFarland now being handed the reins.
Oliveres promptly greets Mr. McFarland with a run scoring double and that will up the Royal lead to 3-0.
Benintendi drills a base hit to right and that will plate another Royal….4-0 now and McFarland is fooling nobody, except his skipper who thought he could keep this deficit at a manageable 2-0 score.
May 3, 2022 at 9:11 pm #184305Pretty good outing got Dakota. No support at all but he battles through 6 to give us a chance.
How much longer can we afford to keep DeJong in the lineup?
May 3, 2022 at 9:13 pm #184307Just win baby (I know on the wrong end so far tonight, but it’s never too late to start it off this season).
May 3, 2022 at 9:17 pm #184308No telling what kind of shelve life PDJ has here as a starter, stlducks?
May 3, 2022 at 9:21 pm #184309Woodford on in relief for McFarland here in the 7th with a runner at 1st and one out.
Dozier a soft single to right with Benintendi motoring around to 3rd….and now Dozier has aspirations for two…..the throw won’t get him….boy that guy has some speed.
Merrifield hits a long drive to center that Bader will track down just inches short of the track and Benintendi can trot on in with the Royals 5th run on the evening.
Witt Jr. drills a base hit to left and now this one is getting out of hand…..6-0 KC.
Wild pitch sends Witt Jr. down to 2nd.
Melendez walks.
Taylor on 3-2 blisters a base hit to right and Witt Jr. will come prancing in the KC’s 7th run.
May 3, 2022 at 9:24 pm #184310Right. He’s really good defensively but his offense is really hurting us. I would say it is too early in the year to judge but he has struggled for the past year and a half.
May 3, 2022 at 9:36 pm #184311Much talk on this site about PDJ, stlducks. The general consensus is that due to the money STL has tied up with him, it’ll take either an injury or an act of Congress to get him permanently out of that starting lineup. Sosa not really taking advantage of his opportunity this year, pretty much secures PDJ’S starting status too. Let’s hope he finds his stroke again real soon.
May 3, 2022 at 9:38 pm #184312Long time no see TexasCard…..wish it were under more rosey circumstances. Welcome back!
May 3, 2022 at 9:45 pm #184313Let’s pick this up in the Redbird 8th shall we, as the Cards are making a little hay here as they have runners straddling 1st & 2nd with just one out. Garrett pitching for KC.
O’Neill lines a base hit to left and that’ll finally light up the St. Louis run column out on the ole’ stadium scoreboard…..Goldy stopping at 2nd and it’s now 7-1 KC.
Arenado grounds into a twin killing….ouch!
May 3, 2022 at 9:45 pm #184314Jeez-another dp!
May 3, 2022 at 10:01 pm #184316Your unhappy final, as the Royals stop their 5 game skid vs their cross-State rivals:
Kansas City Royals 7
St. Louis Cardinals 1May 3, 2022 at 10:11 pm #1843171982 willie
ParticipantRather bland game tonight. Hudson was ok but got lucky more times than not. He should not have been put out there for the 7th, that’s on marmol and I don’t think mcfarlane is the right guy against kc. Woodford wasn’t very good at all either. But really I guess that all didn’t matter cause our hitting was anemic. As soon as goldy swings late on that pitch when edman was running in the first I felt it was not going to go out way. No way you should be late there. They strung hits together we couldn’t do that. Yepes will be here for me tomorrow’s game, let him dh, put Donovan at short. Dejong needs a good break
May 3, 2022 at 10:44 pm #184318Robinson Cano DFA’d owed 45 Million by a Team serious about winning. Dejong still trotted out nightly at .131 and dropping. This team isn’t about winning anymore. Gorman has earned a callup. If he struggles you send him down. This offense needs a jolt from somewhere.
May 4, 2022 at 4:42 am #184320Maybe they are positioning for another thrilling late season winning streak to come roaring from behind. That strategy only works if you are sufficiently far behind.

ParticipantPitching was not good tonight. But our hitting is just awful!
Dakota was average, McF or Woodford missed spots. To Woodfords credit he had
zero time to warm up. McF, pitched only 8 pitches, then they call Woodford, tough to warm up
in 50 deg. weather in about 2 minutes.!May 4, 2022 at 9:02 am #184336DeJong’s extension was unnecessary. He had exactly one year in the big leagues before signing a six year extension with two option years added on. Mo completely jumped the gun. This is why going year to year isn’t such a bad thing. Or at least make a guy prove himself for two or three years first.
