Ricky used to wear me out but Thompson can’t shut up. Let’s give it a break once in awhile. Rather here Jimmy talk about himself than this. Edmonds and Ankiel I can listen to.

This talk of balls not traveling doesn’t jive. Doesn’t seem to be a problem for Arizona. Just seems to be the Cardinals.

Well another short outing for Hicks. I’m just not sold on him as a starter.

Throwing behind the batter is not good.

Well, I guess it’s not the ballpark holding down the home runs.

We need to seek positives. Dickerson is 1 for 2 and raised his BA to .200, so now there are only 3 batters in our lineup hitting below the Mendoza line.

Thank goodness our broadcasters are now talking about water beds.

I thought CD was going to be a sneaky good FA signing. Underwhelmed thus far.

What’s the trigger for DeJong? When he finally falls below .100 BA?

Well apparently mozeliak is talking about the shortstop position having to produce or changes will be made but I figure the only change would be Sosa not dejong. The batters today trying to pull everything. It’s fine with balls middle in but those balls away, you have to hit them that way. Just boggles the mind.

I don’t get what Mo is talking about with DeJong. He hasn’t hit for years and has been on a downhill slope since his first season. He is not going to magically start hitting.

Continuing to play DeJong is a bad joke! How many terrible at bats is gonna be enough! I just don’t get it! Cut him, bring Gorman up move Edman to SS and let’s move on! Is DeJong married to Mozliek’s daughter? That’s they only thing that makes sense to me!

That hit by marte is a perfect example of how to hit. A ball high out of zone actually but he got on top of it. Didn’t try to elevate it which would have ended up in a pop up. The cardinal hitters would just pop it up.

Going to take something of a miracle to avoid losing 3/4 to the Dbacks. That’s pretty sad.

Four innings to go but 3 runs seems like 10 for this offense.

Genesis (pronounced “Hen-a-sis”) “Cabby Cabrera on in relief here in the AZ 7th in a 4-3 Diamondback ballgame. Sets the first two down in succession via a 6-3 groundout and a K swinging. If Cabby can improve that control some, right here is your closer. He intimidates and……and he just yielded a long bomb to Ludlow and that ups the AZ advantage to 5-3…..ouch that hurt……come on Cabby!

Cabby then issues a walk to Peralta and he’s getting yanked. He keeps pitching like this and he’ll be eating some of the finest ribs east of the Mississippi on a pretty regular basis…….in Memphis.

    Kodi Whitley gets summoned.

Walker is rung up on one that Dave Kingman would have had a hard time elevating his bat high enough to hit.

Bottom of 7. Nelson dealing for AZ.

Knizner fists one just out of Ahmed’s reach and out into short left field for a leadoff base knock….sweet start….and this is how big innings start.

PDJ rifles a shot to left…. Knizner to 3rd and PDJ will gallop into 2nd with a standup 2-bagger.

Donovan taps a slow roller to 2nd and that will score Knizner and send PDJ to 3rd and the rbi groundout. And that will send Nelson to the pines with his Diamondbacks holding the slimmest of leads 5-4.
