Bader makes a nice catch. But they still get that 5th run. Doesn’t look like our night but you never know. A couple lead off hits and maybe we can get back in it. I thought Carlson was coming around but he went 0 for 4 yesterday, nothing yet today.

Yeah thats why Willie they think theres too much emphasis on trying to get the home run. Emphasize base running-defense etc. Was part of an article I read about the bean balls this year I believe. Mets coaches met with mlb about the scrum the other night.

Bader should try to steal here. Make something happen

Why is bader not running, should be a coaches call to steal. Easy guy to steal on. Molina bails coach out by getting a hit. Waiting around for guys to do stuff is not a good recipe in my mind when you have the advantage of speed.

Maybe a balk. I don’t know if I want a balk. A balk means we score a run but dejong is still 3-2 and at plate. May be better with dejongs hitting that we have bases loaded and edman up

I don’t know why the umpires didn’t know the rule.

Their pitcher really walked all three, because pitch four to Yadi was outside. But I am sure Yadi is happier with the single.

I would have preferred the walk, than a balk

I would rather have had Edman up with one out than Dejong trying to do something. I appreciate the moments Paul has given us, but he’s toast. Bring up Gorman and move Edman to SS. Can Dejong be optioned to the minors?

Let’s just keep it going goldy, hard line drive

Weak at bat by goldy there. He couldn’t do anything with that pitch even if he hit it.

Just not our night. We just gave the run we scored back. Whitley isn’t fooling anybody.

I’d rather have seen Albert bat. A homerun by him would have lessened the sting of a bad game.

Dejong just has to have something on somebody. Not like this is something new. It’s the same as with Carp. How long is enough?

I heard there was an earthquake in STL yesterday! It certainly didn’t come from Cardinal bats. I’m not going to bother watching the MLB-TV replay this morning.

    Paid - Annual

It was difficult watching Waino not being 17 win Waino from last year. I hope he gets his mojo back.

I heard there was an earthquake in St Louis yesterday.

There sure was CIF, and it cost me watching the game…….so maybe it kind of worked out since it was not a good one. Bling broke the bombshell news first here at The Cardinal Nation, shortly before game time. I figured that the authorities would have to conduct a complete examination of the stadium to inspect for it’s structural integrity. Something like this can take hours. Then I checked for the game on tv and they had some ladies wrinkles snake oil infomercial on instead of the game. So I understandably hung them up for the night.

I was at the stadium at the time of the earthquake and we didn’t even know it happened! The Clydesdale’s came out at 6:30 and of course the music was loud. Nothing was said over the PA about the quake, either. Cool gold glove presentation before the game! It was sprinkling when the gates opened but cleared up pretty quick, and they removed the tarp. Lots of folks there, a giveaway and Grateful Dead night!

Waino did not have his best stuff, as has been mentioned. Our seats were on the third base side lower level under the overhang. Interesting viewpoint, and made me realize how long of a throw the left side of the infield has to make in a short amount of time. How difficult it must be to be good enough to become a major league player! These guys are the best of the best, and even the ones that are struggling, (a certain shortstop) are extraordinary athletes. Hope DeJong can get his swing/timing back, even if he has to do it in Memphis.

Oh, and I walked right by Jon Jay at the Cardinal’s Hall of Fame Museum! He looked different, but I chalked that up to never seeing him in person; and later realized he had his head shaved! Not used to seeing him that way. Also, he is shorter than I pictured him!
