My friend came thorough again with extra tickets for this game in St. Louis! The wife and I will be heading over unless we get rained out, but may not know that before we have to leave Terre Haute! Very excited to go to a game at Busch! It’s been several years since I have been there! Heard Mad-bum is on the hill against us, so Albert will be in the starting lineup as well! Love to see him crank one! Also, Wainwright is starting so we get to see the big three in action! Watch for me on TV! I will be the guy wearing a white Cardinals jersey! oh wait…..
Anyway, will report back anything you many not see while watching or listening to the game!

Who do you posters think is going to break the homerun drought for us?

I am betting on Goldschmidt to break the homerless streak with his 1st dinger of the year.

Hopefully this streak ends tonight. Might be a tall task against Bumgarner, who knows.

Din-din today is another trip to the other Amish restaurant north of town that sits on the lake. Lakeview is it’s name and they typically have those Catfish Fiddlers out early. Along with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, noodles, and some vanilla soft serve ice cream for dessert.

Personally I don’t get caught up in homeruns. I’ll take hard ground balls, line drives, and hitting the oppo way anytime.

You seem to chow down more at your Wednesday Amish restaurant vs your Friday Amish eatery, Rat. Maybe it’s just that you fill up big time on those catfish fiddlers, leaving little room for your meatloaf dessert smorgasbord and other goodies.

Yeah I hear you, Willie. But a nice long tater every now and then does spice things up. I know RatsBuddy for one, lives for the long ball and gets very edgy with these Cardinal power outages. Those 15 Cardinal singles last night were things of beauty. A few of those bats could still be smoldering a little smoke.

CardsFan64 with yet another trip to the ole’ ballpark. Your friend is going to spoil you, CardsFan64. I think the Cards will not disappoint you tonight. I’m calling it 6-3 Birds with O’Neill hitting an absolute monster shot wayyy up into the left field rafters.

The Doppler Radar shows some green stuff in the St. Louis area. It appears to be north of downtown St. Louis. And it also appears to be moving out. I am going to say this game will be completed and the Redbirds will come away with a 7-2 triumph with Pauly Poo Goldschmidt nailing his first wanger of the year.

Off to eat Catfish Fiddlers now…….

At least we have speed ahead of Yadi and PDJ. Anything else Ollie can do to help them be productive?

Bader got on 3 times last night in front of that pair.

I really enjoyed watching last night’s 15-hit effort on MLB-TV replay this morning. Let’s hope they can give Waino the same kind of support tonight. Rah Cardinals!

I downed a simple (and healthy) couple of chaussons aux legumes, vegetables baked in a pastry, for din-din tonight, with just a little chocolate I scream to top it off. Though I do rather envy those catfish fiddlers.

Well din-din tonight will be angel hair spaghetti with cooked onions, ground beef and italian sausage meat sauce. May even make some garlic toast. Gonna have to go on a quest to find some homestyle mild Italian Sausage. Seems to be a shortage around here. I didn’t watch us last night. Saw they were doing so good I didn’t want to jinx them. BA’s coming up now! Maybe we will get another treat tonight! Go Cardinals!

There was an earthquake just minutes ago, they say the epicenter was 1.5 miles SW of Peerless Park, MO which would be a few miles SW of Bling Manor. I heard a low boom and the house shook for a couple seconds, but not severely at all. I thought something big blew up some distance away. There have been a lot of emergency vehicle sirens, but it didn’t seem like it would have damaged anything.

If central Florida were closer, I’d be rudely inviting myself over for din-din, Wooster. And I didn’t quite know what CIF’s din-din was.
Stay safe Bling! We don’t want to lose you at such a tender age. Beware those aftershocks.

Doppler radar shows all the green stuff has moved out of the St. Louis area and is now in central Illinois. It might hit us here in SW Indiana later tonight. Hope not because I have water in my basement and I don’t need any more rain. Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch tonight along with a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar.

    In other words…..PLAY BALL!

Earth to Rat….. there was just an earthquake in the St. Louis area….. Doppler radar for rain not presently an issue.

    How’s the ballpark looking, Bling.

I can’t imagine anything was damaged unless it was ready to fall over already. I guess they will do a walk around at the stadium to make sure nothing is amiss.

It occurred here in SW St. Louis County where I am so I don’t know if downtown got shook any.

Dang Bling- sounds like you have one of those earthquake detector dogs! Mine barks at thunderstorms till they get here and it rains. Then he gets scared-I guess he thinks the storms come to get him because he was barking at it. Hope they play tonight! If not 2 tomorrow?

We need to get a report from Busch about any possible damage. Brian? I won’t breathe a sigh of relief until someone from the stadium weighs in here.

Well the blues game is on, so I don’t think there is any damage to the Cardinals stadium
