And in addition to being 4-0, he also flashes a 2.38 ERA. I also happened to notice that Stratton’s 4-0 in a Cardinal uniform this season. Heck, even Drew VerHagen and Kodi Whitley are a combined 5-1, but their ERA’s are 6.65 and 5.68 respectively…Haha! The Redbirds have come from behind to win quite a few games this season.
I feel bad for the guy, but he’s 0-4 with 2 K’s and hitting .149 at the moment. I can’t understand how he’s placed on the post-season roster. SS or no SS.
Atlanta has moved ahead of New York for the #2 seed in the NL. That could be a bit better for us should we advance to the NLDS, as the Mets’ right handed power pitching is scary.
Re: Mikolas
This one is my favorite when it comes to pitcher wins and losses.
On September 21st Miles started vs the SDP. He recorded 6.0 IP, 0 ER, allowed 3 singles, a 2/6 BB/K, with a GmSc of 68 and took the loss. ZERO EARNED RUNS and took the loss.
That’s how worthless pitcher wins and losses are as an evaluation tool of pitcher performance.
