Oh yea, it was when Bourjos played for StL. If I remember correctly, it was a Sunday afternoon game and the Cards won going away.

I’m pretty sure I recall that one, Euro.

In other baseball related news, Freddie Freeman is 3-3 tonight and has taken a pretty commanding lead in the batting race. Goldy needs a hit.

Looks like a walk will kick the can to our other MVP candidate. We need Arenado now.

Nice! This one should go in the W column.

I guess if it ain’t Albert it ain’t happening. Too bad he’s out of the game. But Arenado just said hold on, let me take care of this. Bases clearing double gives the Cards a 7-4 lead.

That was not Helsley’s smoothest save. He threw 24 pitches, including a 45-foot bouncer. He also gave up a run but got the job done.

There we go…a much needed win to steady the ship. Special night for Albert as well. Hopefully we can take the series tomorrow and Albert can pass Arod.

Yeah good thing we had that 3 run cushion Euro. Great to see us get some runs when we needed them. Pitching still kinda spotty but better than the last 2 games. Go Cardinals!

Now 9-6 W/L when allowing 5 runs. That speaks well of our lineup.

That win holds off Doom City for a few more days. Milwaukee downs Cincinnati 5-1 tonight at County Stadium. Front Row Amy was in attendance, looking lovely!

Need a win tomorrow to stave off elimination. Sad thing is the NFL kicks off tomorrow. That means the Colts begin play at 1:00, shortly before the Redbirds first pitch.

Again, I have nothing at all tangible to base this on, but I really think if Albert would have remained a StL. Cardinal, we’d be talking about him eclipsing Aaron and 755.

Jack has to go back to Peoria. Did he ever apologize for wearing that Black Lives Matter shirt?

Good win tonight J Mack. I’ll bite on your question, about Flaherty’s shirt. He doesn’t owe anyone an apology for wearing a BLM shirt. I am compelled to respond to you, even though Brian doesn’t want politics addressed on his forum. But I cannot be silent, because maybe some of our posters are Black, and I don’t want them to think no one cares.

Black lives matter. There, I said it. They are made in God’s image, just like me and you, so they matter. I think you probably agree with that, in the sense I just expressed it, so I am not calling you out in any way, shape, or form. Personally, I cannot stand many aspects of liberal politics. But I respect Flaherty’s right to express himself. Even if he weren’t himself a minority that has suffered in our country. And if the majority culture in our country spoke up more, it wouldn’t be left for just minorities to do so.

If you want to have a friendly chat offsite, I’m happy to have Brian give you my email. Just ask him.

For the longest time I was wondering why so many people were taking an interest in the federal Bureau of Land Management then wifey, who’s not even American, clued me in. Turns out he doesn’t give darn about Western mining permits.

More importantly, I think Mo & Co are going to have a hard think about JFs future role.

Yeah bccran and politics and entertainers don’t mix either. Such BS when people gain celebrity and then start thinking they’re smarter than everybody else. Stick to what you do and keep your yap shut.

Interesting. None of the follow up comments address the issue of RACE relations. Seems to me the issue is being dodged. Unless Flaherty was wearing the tee shirt on top of his Jersey no comment was needed.

Apologize for exercising a first amendment protected right? What’s next for the thin skinned morons, Mr. J Mack?
