All Time 5th in doubles with 684.
September 10, 2022 at 7:01 pm #200010Nice ride TD. My K car was a white Plymouth Caravelle. It was retched in every possible way.
September 10, 2022 at 7:03 pm #200011Bling…You gotta fit those with a HP cam…
September 10, 2022 at 7:11 pm #200012Better get someone up and loose if they want to have a chance.
September 10, 2022 at 7:12 pm #200013GET HIM OUT OF THERE!!!!!! NOW!!!!! GRRRRRR
September 10, 2022 at 7:13 pm #200014Rough one for Flaherty. Looking like the bullpen better be ready for a workout.
September 10, 2022 at 7:14 pm #200015Flaherty is terrible, hasn’t had a decent start since: I don’t know when?
September 10, 2022 at 7:18 pm #200016Still applies with the second half, but before the DH in the NL, I always maintained that if a pitcher was good at executing a sac-bunt and fielding his position, he could add at least 1 to 2 W’s to his total every season.

ParticipantOffense still struggling against pitiful pirates. Flaherty can’t get them out. If I wasn’t down by the Ohio with my grandson I might be throwing things. Got to come back here
September 10, 2022 at 7:21 pm #200018Jack has to go back to Peoria. Did he ever apologize for wearing that Black Lives Matter shirt?
September 10, 2022 at 7:29 pm #200019Some things in baseball don’t change. One of them is when a guy has a bum shoulder it does not heal up and return to like new. He has to figure out pitching mechanics that his shoulder can tolerate and then he has to try to figure out how to pitch effectively with the new mechanics. Next season we will probably get an idea whether Jack can become effective again. He won’t be the same though, however much people want to fantasize. For now, we can hope his shoulder holds up and he keeps us in it for a while, and hope that Ollie gets him out in time.
September 10, 2022 at 7:35 pm #200020OK…. Time to light up the bats now. Let’s get back in this game and turn the burners on.
September 10, 2022 at 7:38 pm #200022Bling…Yep, it’s always hard to tell about pitchers. Chris Carpenter was plagued with injuries that included shoulder problems for the first 5 or 6 years of his Big League career. Some guys overcome them, but most fall by the wayside. You just never can be sure of anything when it comes to the human body.

ParticipantBrubaker’s really good. Those records of 5-13 in 2021 and 3-11 this season are foolers.
September 10, 2022 at 7:56 pm #200025I noticed a thread on this site devoted to Alex Reyes. I thought when the Cardinals fired Schildt it was kind of a bum deal, but when he handed the ball to Reyes to face Bellinger last Oct. I thought it was the worst BP decision I’d seen from a Redbird manager since Matheny handed the baseball to Wacha vs. the Giants in the deciding game of the ’14 NLCS after Michael had just come back from arm problems. I hope Marmol never has one of those episodes of insanity…
September 10, 2022 at 7:58 pm #200026Donny can hit! Get some of them TATERS!
September 10, 2022 at 8:08 pm #200027Flaherty settled down and had a good 5th inning. Score is 3-1.
September 10, 2022 at 8:09 pm #200028Flaherty’s scuffled through 5 IP and surprisingly given the Redbirds a chance with only 3 ER’s, but the 4 BB’s and the 2 taters allowed don’t look too promising.
September 10, 2022 at 8:10 pm #200029EuroDandy…Yeah, you have to give him credit for scuffling thru 5.
September 10, 2022 at 8:11 pm #200030Gotta push this run across.
September 10, 2022 at 8:12 pm #200031Pujols ties it up with 696. Tied with A-Rod.
September 10, 2022 at 8:12 pm #200032NICE! Pujols with the 2 run #696 TATER!
September 10, 2022 at 8:15 pm #200033Donovans hitting better than anybody else on the team. Dickerson doing good tonight too. Big boys not a factor again. Not like Goldy to be swinging at pitches out of the zone. What’s going on?
September 10, 2022 at 8:16 pm #200034EuroDandy…Yeah, you have to give him credit for scuffling thru 5.
Yep, it didn’t look promising. I would’ve bet he wasn’t even going to make it into the 5th.
September 10, 2022 at 8:19 pm #200035Pretty cool interview with the fan who got Albert’s HR ball.
