Off a RHP too. Even at 42 years of age, the Great Pujols uncoils on the baseball like no one I’ve ever seen. Something else altogether.

Albert 2 run dinger ties us both in runs and 6 hits each team too. Maybe Donovan and Dickerson can get it going too.

My concern with Flaherty is the lack of K’s. He is currently a ball in play pitcher. His low swing and miss rate suggests he is not at his best.

Wooster…Haha! Albert sent a “Gyrocopter” into the LF cheap seats!

Albert loves PNC Park. I’m looking forward to seeing his last game there in October.

stlcard25…He sure does. PNC may not still be standing if he wouldn’t have went out to California for 10 years.

Ha, to Brubaker it probably looked more like a Warthog strafing run.

EuroDandy…Haha! I stole that term from Wooster. The other day he used it to perfectly describe a play and I asked him for copyright permission…Haha

Have the Cards won any game this season that Jack F. appeared in?

I see that Doug Drabek bobblehead sign promo behind the HP area. I remember in the mid 90’s when he left Pittsburg and signed with the Astros as a FA, it was for around $5M per year for 5 or 6 years. That was considered entirely outrageous at the time. Little did I know.

Not only has Albert tore it up this season, but it seems like all of his HR’s and hits are of the clutch variety.

Albert ties it. He’s carrying the offense tonight.

    Needed a bigger 2B bag…

Albert gets most of his hits off pitches out of the strike zone…

I never really noticed the Great Pujols swing at many offerings at all out of the strike zone much less getting most of his hits on pitches that weren’t strikes. Vlad or Yogi, he ain’t…

Need a bigger 2B . . . . or base stealers need some of the sticky stuff on their hands that pitchers were using a couple years ago. I remember Peter Bourjos was the king of turning a stolen base into an out by over-sliding the bag.

EuroDandy…I forgot about Bourjos. Mrs. 1TD used to say he looked like the guy in Beetlejuice…Haha!

I live in Virginia, so my son and I went to see the Cards play at Camden Yards several years ago. I’ll never forget Bourjos hitting a homerun of Pujolsian proportions. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was the longest HR he ever hit.

I wasn’t sure if DeJong had another base hit in him, but I’ll take that one.

Stop the presses!! Dejong got a hit!

Up to Donovan now to give us the lead…

EuroDandy…I think I may remember that one. Was he still a Cardinal at the time?

Donovan doesn’t bring in the run even though he scorched it. Now it’s Dickerson’s turn.

It may seem odd to walk someone to get to the probable MVP, but the Pirates might be smart to pitch around Dickerson to hope for the Goldy double play ball here.

Need a 2 out base hit from the NL MVP. I like the chances.
