Dom, the Leland incident was well covered before You Tube existed. That began my respect for Jim and suspicion of Barry.

Chicago Cubs 3Nice win. Took the series 3-2, which is what I was hoping for. (Well I would have taken a sweep but winning the series was the most important thing).
After this Atlanta series we have 13 games with the Reds, Washington, Cubs, and Pittsburgh. Would be nice to go 9-4 in those games – or better. Especially since we then have six against the Padres and Dodgers and then two at Milwaukee – all on the road.
Goldschmidt’s obviously looking to wear all 3 of those crowns, but I’m sure he’d surrender all 3 for that one that says “World Champions.”

The division lead is at 6 games, Goldy is looking like he’s making a serious run at a Triple Crown and Albert is resting up for a run at 600. Hopefully the rest of the summer is so fun.
gscottar…He sure is. That second tater he ripped today was the illustration of a great professinal hitter. That pitch was a more than decent offering down in the zone and he just let it get deep and drove it a good distance over the wall to dead CF. Goldschmidt’s no joke.
It’s a Winner! Nice rebound from last night.16 hits but you gotta remember we wern’t up against the best pitching. Solid win though good pitching by Hudson and Hicks. Everybody hitting today. Goldy 2 dinger and Dickerson still on fire. Whatever hes doing I want some of it! Go Cardinals!
